I hear you Letty, Calories in and Calories out...Bottom line is net calories at the end of the day. You are an obvious success story on fat secret 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Letty are you still logging your food? That's when I started to lose my progress in the past...when I decided logging everything was too much trouble. Like you, I was still eating mostly healthy meals but more & more snacks. You know what to do 😀 Maybe the beginning of Spring will help motivate you to get back on track.

Snacking can be a killer! It’s an addiction for me I think. I NEED that snack most nights. But to balance it I’ve started IF so skip lunch. It’s working for me because with my nerve pain and stress I’m just not hungry until mid day or mid evening. Choosing things like cheese and crackers over a snickers has helped keep protein up and I find it more filling if not more satisfying taste wise. I hope you can get the snacking back where you need it to be. You know you’ve got this!

Peeper, I'm not an advocate of NO snacking....I just know unlimited snacking is not good. If you feel you need/ want a snack, plan for it. It looks like that's what you've been doing.

I definitely have a food addiction. Everyday is a struggle.

Letty u & me both. I’m actually nervous to have this baby and get back to how I normally feel. Think I’ll still be a food addict though.

Also I’m going to say you are getting those booty gains and those DO cost a couple extra pounds because again muscle outweighs fat. You got super thin, and you have to build up some muscle. I think you’ve been listening to your body and eating well, and your body will find its settling place. I am missing the part where you give yourself some slack!

Have you worked with a medical dietitian on your food addiction?

Muscle is denser than fat. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. Muscle just takes up less space in our bodies. I have put in muscle but I also know my snacking is absolutely terrible. I live in a very small town we don't have medical dietitians, we don't even have a psychiatrist or a psychologist.

Like any addiction, it's always there. My dad quit smoking over 30 years ago. He says the urge is still there. It's something I have to learn to work through. I'm just going through a rough time right now. Things will get better, hopefully 🤗😊

I think it's great that you've caught this before it spins you all the way back up into the 200's. And you've identified the problem. Are you at odds with the diets of anyone else you live with? By that I mean, do they "require" snacks? If you replaced the Ben & Jerry's in the freezer with a fruit bowl out in the open, would they be amenable to the switch? (SHOULD they make the switch, too?) It really helps to get all the bad carbs out of the house.
