Good morning!

Today is an INSANE weigh-in! What the...?

I gained 1.9 kilos from out of nowhere. The Über Smart Smartscale claims it to be all water. I am 3½ kilos UP in muscle since yesterday, and 2.2 kilos up in water fluctuations.

Clearly, it's not a fat gain.

Now, the kicker - in a good way - in this is that my body fat percentage dropped to 9.5%. :)

It's not a real number, though, it's just low because of the crazy fluctuation.

...

So, today is Indulgence Day. It's the first one in weeks, and I gotta say I am looking forward to it.

Honestly, I'm also dreading it a little, especially after the gain I saw this morning. Of course, I'm aware that it's all water, but doing an Indulgence Day today will REALLY kick the fluctuation in. I might end up at 86 tomorrow. If so, so be it.

I still have almost two weeks to shed whatever fluid settles in my body, and it's enough time to do it. I don't think I can get much lower in fat, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.

I've been reading up on what to do today. Obviously, I need enough protein for my training, and enough fat. I also need more to show my body that there IS in fact enough food around me, and that there is no need to slow down any kind of fat loss.

At the same time, I need to show my body that there are also CARBS around.

I have gone very low (for me, at least) on carbs the last few weeks, and by boosting it, I should retain some fluid, but make my body relax about the whole thing, and easier shed the water weight again.

Over the last couple of weeks I average less than 50g of carbs per day. My goal is to chunk it up significantly - with proper food - to reboot.

I think it's gonna work.

...

I want to say thank you for all the compliments and all your thoughts and input in yesterday's journal. I'm very seriously considering taking my first steps towards living the dream. :)

...

So, today will be an enjoyable day, with everything accomplished easily.

I already did my 5k warmup walk, I already worked out - and it was GREAT! - and have my 10,000 steps behind me. Work is over by noon, and then it's weekend. I'm gonna enjoy Indulgence Day starting with Lunch with Wife, and we're having home made ribs for dinner.

The only thing I need to really focus on is to make my Indulgence Day nutritionally sane, and to STOP EATING at 7 PM. There is no slipping on the curfew. I don't wan't today's Indulgences to affect tomorrow.

Then again, if it should happen, I could choose to just eat later tomorrow. This will probably happen regardless, so I am not all that concerned.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Wife!
- Indulgence Day today!
- Ribs for dinner!
- Weekend!
- Reaching goals!
- Bodyfat 9.5%!

Have a great weekend! The journals will be short and sparse the next couple of days.

Life is good!

You should be 'good' with upping the carbs as long as it's food carbs and not carbage. You got this, you are such a numbers nerd (in the nicest way) and you have researched this journey endlessly so I am sure you will be good. You know whatever you gain, you got two weeks to get it off. Good luck, and counting the days with you. Oh, the pic yesterday was great but I would think they should do a standing up one, with a side by side of you before and after. That is much more of a selling feature - you before and you now! Hope the gym doesn't want to take credit for your weight loss because that's all you, man. But you do look fabulous :)

I do agree with a stand-up picture - and I think I will have some pro ones taken for me and my classes. And no - they take no credit for the weight loss. But they DO like that I tell people that their type of workout is the optimal type for weight loss, which I firmly believe. For many reasons.
