Katsolo's Journal, 22 February 2021

On the heels of a really great weekend, it ends officially in 12 minutes or so when the daily grind recommences. I swam every day, and walked or did treadmill every day. This is what makes me happy. We won't talk about dishes in the dishwasher or stuff like that though. I didn't really get to the office project at all yesterday, but it was so glorious outside, I'm not going to apologize. I did clean the fountain and some other outside stuff. I love weekends like that. Caught a hummingbird inside my living room last night, I've lived here almost 16 years and I have never had that happen before.

Super hungry again late last night, had a spoonful of greek yogurt and cottage cheese to quell the beast in my stomach so I could sleep. The swim last night was pretty great. I was within 2 strokes of the PR I set the day before, so pleased with that. I focused on controlling my stroke and the water. 882 strokes, average heart rate at 153, 10.7 METs. spent 15 minutes in peak and 11 in warm up. Looking at the chart, I held my own the first 11, then had to start fighting harder. All good. at least it wasn't a hot mixed up mess. I might take an exploratory trip into total peak and ditch the paddles all together this next weekend. That will likely be the equivalent of an all out sprint since my strokes are way higher without the extra resistance.

Took a short walk with BF yesterday. He's recovering, but definitely not 100%. Glad to finally see him, I've been feeling the distance and I want our normal back. Times are still so weird.

Happy enough with these numbers. I like the combo of swimming and the treadmill. Of course, I also like the long walks with puppies because who wouldn't? Going to try and sneak in some weights during the day today.

Great job getting close to those PR's Kat! I'm impressed that you work, workout and get stuff done in your yard! Dang! Im not working and my house is a mess! I'm glad you got to see BF! Sorry he is not 100% yet. Hope you have a good week!

I've been pondering for about a week how to get "all" things done all the time because I have some stuff that's bugging me. it's never going to happen. I need sleep, I need good food, I need exercise. I'd rather be outside moving than inside cleaning. those are my choices. when I make my millions, I will have a staff of twenty to keep up with the housework. or not. I'd rather just be happy and healthy.
