It turns out my scale needed new batteries and calibration.

The good news is that the false numbers caused some bad behavior to disappear. Yesterday was under 1,000 calories combined with 4 hours of exercise (3 hrs. of pickleball and 1 hr. of bike riding).
212.6 lb Lost so far: 51.4 lb.    Still to go: 22.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
