What would be the fun if we couldn't complain....just don't stress. I noticed that the pound we were worried about is gone???? Or was it just a PHANTOM...LOL. BTW: If the kidding bothers you please let me know. I find that if I laugh at some of my diet obsessions it helps me put them in perspective. I actually have asked my wife before what she would eat if she had 100kcals left in the day for a snack...she rolls her eyes and giggles at my obsession and says..." A really small piece of cheesecake"...LOL.

We are all obsessive to a certain degree about the scale. I sneaked a peak this a.m. and I normally do not do that at all. That scale lets us know how we are doing on our quest to lose weight. I have set in waist bands, (never buy expando pants, ever) so I can tell by my jean, slacks, etc. how I am doing without getting on the scale. But I still want my weigh-in to see in black and white where I am. Have you thought about only getting on it once a week? On your weigh-in day?

Yup ... it was a phantom pound to be sure!!! Here today, gone tomorrow!! Don't stop the kidding Jim, your posts always bring a smile to my face and sometimes makes me laugh right out loud! Sorry folks ... just not ready to give up my daily obsession wtih the scale ... unfortunately I have used "scale avoidance" as a very effective technique to gain weight over the years ... so it is better for me to suffer the trials of fluctation ... and make all of you suffer my complaints!!

i'm so glad you're thinking more positively today :] I love jim's post haha and I agree, we are all obsessed to some degree, and in one way or another. Just remember to take it easy, dont get too serious, live and laugh, and do what is right for *you*.
