I was happy to still be under goal this morning, even though it was only by .2 lbs. My quick hop on the scales before bed last night had me up almost 3 lbs. from morning 😬 Not surprising since I ate about 2300 calories yesterday. My sweet tooth kicked in after lunch & I ate a rice krispie bar left over from the holidays. Dinner was some pre-made sausage meatballs with peppers, onions, broccoli & some pasta sauce on brown rice & quinoa. It was tasty but I probably could have eaten 1 less meatball....even 2....I had 4. It was more filling than I expected. Then a piece of Ghirardelli dark chocolate & raspberry with my wine. To top it off there was 1 small piece of carrot cake in the fridge...I halved that with Hubby. So yeah....staying under goal was unexpected.

I did get in a walk yesterday, but I've been pretty sedentary lately. I've managed to read several books....so that's a positive 😊

Hubby & I had a long phone gab with family in Canada yesterday. They're both staying in & pretty much to themselves. Their restaurants are closed for dining in. And they still don't have access to the vaccine in spite of being 65. We do have access, but haven't managed to get an appt. yet.

Also, chatted with my sister. Good news for her. Her daughter & son in law put an offer in on a house & after putting their house on the market got at least 8 offers! The plan is for my sister to renovate the daylight basement into an apartment using money from the sale of her home. She is anxious to move forward & get settled into her own space. My niece has wanted to move into a larger home with another bedroom & her husband wanted a little bit of land. So this plan meets all their wants & needs. Hopefully everything continues to fall into place.

This weekend we're doing a girl's trip & I'm looking forward to that. Just so everyone knows, we do practice safety protocol wearing our masks, etc. when we get out of the house. One of my sisters & my neice have had the vaccination already. My sister is a nurse & my niece is in hospital administration.

Today I'm planning fewer desserts 🍨😄 We'll be eating out over the weekend so I'd rather not start out over goal. Chicken breasts & a nice salad planned for dinner. I had considered ordering wings for dinner since there's aTuesday special at a local place, but decided to behave myself.
144.8 lb Lost so far: 28.0 lb.    Still to go: 9.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
