Medium walk last night, gorgeous day yesterday. These are my favorite days of the year. Hot in the day, cold at night. A little crazy, got charged by an off leash Great Dane, then a stupid dude with an aggressive dog on a chain at the grocery store got all nuts over my dogs, just one of those nights. Hogan was solid. I told him to leave it both times and he did so it didn't escalate.

Did some more light strength training stuff. Working on glutes and being careful with the knees and back. I already made a bar of sorts out of a 2" dowel and some eye hooks. Easy peasy. Did some very cautious baby deadlifts. No tweaks, all good. And hey, I can bend over and get back up without pain. Woot!

I'm not going to say I like working every weekend, but having to get up and be ready helps me not waste the day. I do like that. I take that back, they just scheduled a second meeting for 8:30. Dang it.

So anyways, nibbling away at the blob, muscle mass holding, drinking my water because it's not cold, doing pretty good overall as far as increasing/maintaining lean and not losing muscle. Excited about the groceries I got yesterday. Bought a different mix of veggies so I can do some more creative cooking. Split the haul with mom and put some of mine in the freezer, so I won't be wasting anything which is another huge pet peeve with me. Got green beans, Brussels sprouts, squash and spinach. I know you're all surprised by that last one. 🤣🤣🤣

Swimming early today so I don't get sabotaged by others. Spent a good deal of time yesterday waiting on others for different things. My responsibility at the end of the day, but gotta get it done.

No pics today.

Sounds like a good day, Kat! You must have been trained Hogan very well.

Doing well as usual. I'm glad your pups didn't get into a scrap. Your care it training is really something! I had two Danes attack and badly hurt my Australian shepherd years ago. I fell down trying to pull them off and I'm so glad those raging beasts didn't rip into me. If I ever wondered if I'd hesitate to go I to a burning building after a kid, that question was answered that day. Goodness... I was out of my mind and stupidly pulling at their rotten, grey hides. They could have turned on me so quickly. Thankfully my husband just kept calling and calling our girl. She finally escaped and got into the open door of our house... All that to say... I'm so glad you didnt have a terrible dog fight on your hands because of an irresponsible owner.

I carry pepper spray, too. Not my preferred method, but last resort.

Thanks so awful Melissa! I didn't realize great danes were aggressive. My aunt and uncle had one that was super sweet. Its good to know because I'm always cautious with out little guy. I'm impressed by your dog and training Kat! Also its great you were able to do those deadlifts without pain.

I love Great Danes, this one just has a poor owner. Generally, they’re great dogs.

I think "giants" in the dog world are often very gentle, 🐻. Irresponsible owners are scary for anyone. 😊
