Thanks; it should be 40 by now - I seem to be stuck...and it's frustrating cuz I've got this thing down. I've cut out everthing that tends to make ppl stall - A-bars, caffeine, sour cream, etc... I guess I need to chalk it up to PCOS as it really makes WL super difficult. Oh well, I'll get there - eventually. Thanks for your support.

Evie, wonderful things to those who are patient. Honey, looks like Atkins is testing you. Be patient and it will happen.

I hear ya... I'll pass the test, to be sure.

Evie, 31 pounds in about 3.5 months is fantastic. It wouldn't surprise me if your body is just readjusting itself right now, as that's a LOT of weight to lose in that amount of time. IMO, patience and consistency are the 2 biggest skills one needs once you're beyond a month or two on Atkins. You'll ride this out and be on your way again shortly. HONK!

Sounds like Sandy may be on to something. so much weight lost in a short period of time! Also, not sure if eating is like exercising, but I remember when I was visiting the gym everyday, I stopped seeing progress because my trainer said my body was getting used to it and adjusting. Stupid body!!! LOL, but I wonder if it is the same with foods? I just glimpsed at some of your foods and am guessing when I suggest that you throw in a hunk of meat somewhere that has fats in it. Maybe some hamburgers or a steak or a porkchop? Shake your body up a bit...it does seem like it could be adjusting to what you are doing. Anyway, that is my uneducated opinion! You are doing great though...I hope after three months, I can report the same success as you, Evie!!!!

Sandy and Robin, thanks for your input... I supposed you are right. And Sandy, as far as patience and consistency - check/check. There is no other option. No turning back. No other recourse but FORWARD! :D Robin, while I do mostly eat turkey bacon, turkey and chicken, I do have steak and seafood once a week...and I have been eating ground sausage on a regular basis. I am keeping my fats right where they need to be on my daily RDI percentiles. Will try to add more variety, although I have been very happy with the things I have been eating and have been creating new options - and certainly haven't felt like I am bored. I created an awesome low-carb casserole and have served it for company. Jim LOVES it and asks for it regularly. Our guests scarfed it up - with 2, 3, and one guy 4 helpings! Just got an email from wife: I've got to have that recipe. Anywho, THANKS for your great suggestions! I am HONKING for ya'll! Honk Honk!

Hang in there EVie...is it possible that this is still residual from your vacations and the holidays? I know you said in your journal yesterday that you had no control over the foods that you were eating when you were out of country, visiting family. Maybe you have lost, but just haven't gotten back down to where you were before kicking yourself out of ketosis? What ever the reason, it'll happen. It is so frustrating thought when we are trying so hard and the results are less than we would like. And it seems like when we slip it takes longer and longer each time to get the wieght to start moving in the right direction again. All in God's time, Evie, all in God's time!

Evie how do you figure the carb in your own recipes? I was looking for the recipe for your lo carb pumpkin pie, and it isn't in your cookbooks. Neither is your deviled eggs.

What my problem was if you haven't read about it already LOL was that I was eyeballing my fats like mayo, butter etc and not weighing them. Something so simple made such a big difference to me.

Stef, thanks for your comment. It's been reasonably long enough since I took those 3 days off when I was at my sister's house with the fam in Georgia. I've been right on plan since returning home well over a week ago. Things really should have been moving faster - regarding ketosis. I lost the water weight I put on within 2 days and now have 2 pounds to lose before getting back to my pre-New Year weight. I've been stuck here for several days. You asked about my carbs in my personal recipes. My low-carb Pumpkin Pie is only 2 carbs. My Deviled-Eggs is .1 carb. Squiggs, thanks for your suggestion. I tend to measure everything already. I've measured for so long that now when I eye-ball it, it is right on. I also use a food scale. I am so glad you figured out your hurdle and are now overcoming that obstacle. :D Time, I guess, will be my hurdle. I've seen this pattern with my own WL - even when I "appear" to stall, I'm really not because of the inches I continue to lose in the interim. I'm crossing my fingers and trusting this will be the case. I am due for another tape-measure-partay in a couple of weeks. Thanks for your support, ladies.

Evie, one other idea is to vary things a bit. I know you said you're not bored, but your body may need you to shake things up a bit. I know that at times during this journey the better I followed plan, for the longer time then the weight loss slowed. So for me it meant letting my total calories vary more from day to day. I know thing approach is totally different than the low carb thing, but the same principal may help. Stay strong in the hope that the scale HAS to move sooner or later. My prayer for you is for sooner! Best wishes!

I understand that, Evie, but how did you get it to enter into the food diary...I always have to put the recipe in my cookbook, and then enter it. It won't let me just enter something like Stef's Pumpkin and enter a number....it has to do the calculations for me via the cook book.
10 Jan 11 by member: ctlss
Stef, I enter it differently. Works fine for me. I figure out the values for prot/carb/sug/fiber/sodium/chol/fat using another program and then I simply enter it when creating a meal for custom food. I've never had to create a meal in the cookbook in order to obtain the calculations. Still being somewhat new to FS, I did not even know the cook book offered that tool, as I have not used the cook book tool too much.

Hang in there honey, I believe your body is re-adjusting itself. You watch, soon you will be "whooshing". HUGS.:)
