squigglywiggly's Journal, 10 January 2011

Wow! I didn't expect a loss this morning! I thought it might take a week or so for the mayo-induced fat to stop sticking onto my body LOL. What a nice surprise!!! Then again I can never fully trust our scale either but I will happily take this even if it is just for today!

I have been sleeping much better too, even with more aftershocks. Have been taking some panadol before bed and for some reason it helps (was my doctors suggestion).

Went shopping for new shorts yesterday as the old ones have a massive hole in the thigh ROFL and I am still in the same size which is odd as my jeans are too tight again and so maybe it is vanity sizing in that shop LOL.

SO a good start to my morning with a scale that finally decided to give me a break!

Haha I love that it warns me that I am losing 5.6kg a week! If only it went that easily every day/week haha!

I eat mayo!...as a matter of fact I think fatty foods are a great tool in sustaining my hunger level from super hungry to satisfied...of course I prefer the full fat as the low fat stuff doesnt taste as good. I think it is Best Foods that has a good low fat (lower calories) one ..there are a few good options. Just as long as I keep between 1,200 and 1,500 calories I can have my mayo and eat it too!!! TOWANDA!!!!!!!

I eat mayo as well I just have to make sure I don't over do a tablespoon at a time! My brain logs a level tablespoon as a heaped one if I'm not careful! Lol

Thanks Leanne! They are saying maybe another year of earthquakes for us... I know Baja Mexico are still having them and Haiti too I think..

Lisa my mayo comment was making fun at myself and my latest mayo episode (read back a journal or two of mine). I make my own mayonnaise and it is easy to do - sadly too easy to eat as well LOL. Leanne - me too!!! Same with butter and cream....

I can't even imagine how scared I would be just having one! But with all those aftershocks I would be one nervous lady! Your holding up so well to what I would be! Your one strong girl!

Oh butter as well! Same here I sure I should be using less! I blame the brain again! Lol

we have all had to be strong, all 350,000 or more of us LOL. Some people have left the city but most of us really don't have a choice... want to see them? If you have time here is a good way of seeing what we have been going through - the bigger the circle the scarier the aftershock, and different colours mean differnt depths. And the latest quakes are at the top and the oldest at the bottom.... http://www.christchurchquakemap.co.nz/ 4254 quakes so far and many more to come, including at least one scarey terrifying one per month approximately... last huge one was the day after Christmas and it caused even more damage to our beautiful city. Weigh those fats!! Honestly it got me into so much trouble! Now I am weighing EVERYTHING LOL

Oh I have done my share of freaking out ROFL! Didn't eat for the first week pretty much, and barely slept for the first month or two. Had to take anti-anxiety pills just to cope. I am so not strong LOL!

Think I would have had a drip put in pouring brandy into me! Then at least I wouldn't have known about it! Lol
09 Jan 11 by member: Mccmad
Yeah well just as well I no longer drink - or I would have been in so much trouble!!!! Then again you want your wits about you when the quakes hit LOL

I've been following your dialogue about mayo and totally understand:) New Years day it was our families traditional Spinach dip....Wow.. easy to over-do with that addicting stuff...I just wanted to point out to anyone who may be reading the journals in our challenge group that I eat mayo...I guess I just wanted to point out that in my eyes their are no evil foods out there...I am really excited about this challenge group and I hope it is interactive and we find ourselves reaching some great weight loss success over the next 12 weeks with mayo and all..TOWANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! We just had a 4.1 in San Francisco. We have a huge fault line that has a lot of scientists scared we will drop off into the ocean... but my goodness, over 4000 earthquakes?? Can't imagine it. ~tig
