Egull1's Journal, 04 January 2021

Beginning with yesterday's weight, today will mark the second day of tracking fluctuations. These weigh-ins are not following any scheduled surplus days. The next surplus day isn't scheduled until the end of January. So, it's an opportune time to see where my average weight actually is these days.

When I did daily weigh-ins back in 2017 (I didn't always input them on FS), I fluctuated up to 5-7 lbs in a week. I also drank A LOT more wine than I do now. LOL!!! Not to mention the rate of inflammation in this body was a lot higher as I hadn't been diagnosed with MS (yet) and had not begun treatment

It will be interesting to see what my natural weekly fluctuation is today 97 lbs. less.
114.4 lb Lost so far: 95.6 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 7.0 lb a week

Yes, it will be very interesting! I've learned to calm down about the daily number but I still think daily tracking will be useful until I hit and maintain my goal weight.

Oh, I definitely wasn't able to get my brain to calm down about the fluctuations in the beginning, LOL! There was indeed a lot of un-conditioning I had to do when I first began all this back in 2017. I'm so used to natural fluctuations now, it really doesn't bother me the way it used too. It's nice to see that shift in perception when it comes to the scale. But, in the beginning I was no different than most. And, even if I knew a pound up was likely water or bulk - it still bugged me. Shifting to "weekend" weigh-ins took a lot of the load off. But, to be sure at this point inches and measurements take priority now.
