My trainer at the gym has started me on an intense abs and legs routine. In addition to my regular circuit training, I am adding cycling for the legs and an ab routine 3 times a week. I am also adding an additional 30 minutes of cardio twice a week. The workout thing is going really well!

However, my diet is not doing so hot. Today I had french toast sticks, applesauce, and milk for breakfast. I'm a teacher and that's what they were serving in the cafeteria this morning. I was running late and didn't have time to make anything at home. It's not a good excuse, but it's what it is.

For lunch, I had a chicken caesar salad. But ... after lunch another teacher gave me 2 cookies and a snickers. I shouldn't have had it, but it was a huge temptation! Ugh!

Dinner will be Phase 1 South Beach ... I'm thinking salisbury steak and pinto beans.

Tomorrow's another day. I'll do better tomorrow! I know the two things I did wrong today, so I'll be better prepared tomorrow. Take it all one day at a time!

Just a suggestion, do not add pinto beans until Phase 2. They are high in fiber which is great, but also have alot of carbs which can mess you up in Phase 1. Instead of beans, steam some veggies and toss with olive oil and herbs or with South Beach approved margarine or I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray.
