Swam yesterday and logged 2.1 miles inside the house running back and forth from the back office to the front door trying to catch the UPS man. We have a new one after 16 years and they keep switching them out so I don't know what time they'll be by. Great cardio though. Sprinting and jumping over large dogs in my path. I did have success though. There was also some guy riding his motorcycle up and down the street so I couldn't hear the truck as well as normal. All movement is good though, right?

Swim was a little disappointing. I'm having trouble with the last set this week. Probably from less than optimal eating which I'm correcting already. I just have no strength at the end which is weird. Ended up doing sprints last night, no paddles, no snorkel. all of that was in peak zone. 781 strokes (I counted 785, so good enough), 9.8METs ????, and average heart rate was 148 overall. average heart rate during the sprints was just above 160, so I was working and I gave myself 10 breaths in between sprints. I need to talk with my triathlon friend to figure out what I'm doing wrong, or more accurately, how to work myself out of this slump. don't misinterpret this to mean that I'm any serious athlete. not even close. I just happen to have worked with a dude who is and who will help me figure it out.

I ended up going to bed around 9 with a raging headache, think I fell asleep around 10, woke up late this morning and was twenty minutes late for work. so, I'm going to take most of the day off and go play with dogs and do some of that adult end of the year stuff I try to avoid most of the time.

weight numbers are also annoying, but most likely fluctuations. I didn't eat a lot yesterday, logged everything, and my body likes to screw with my mind. it's doing an excellent job. I did notice that I drank almost zero water the last week since it's been chilly, and will probably start logging that as it can definitely affect performance. 🤣 laughing at "performance" because it was pretty much the opposite. the good news is that I pulled my jeans on out of the dryer and there was no drama.

I feel like I need to insert a gratuitous dog shot below to offset the boring stuff. Done.
