You sound a lot like me a few years ago, Adrian. Don't get down on yourself like I did. I spent 10 years in the army and when I got out, I just could not find anything that special something I got from being in the military. But life isn't all that simple is it? I had depression and from time to time and to be honest, I still have to fight it off when I feel it coming on. The first few years after I got out, I felt like I was alone. Then I met a couple guys I worked with that were vets also and were about my age. They convinced me to join the VFW, which I thought was for old guys. Lol At the time we were considered ‘the kids.’ That helped a lot. I know with the all-volunteer military there are a lot of things different – fewer vets, but we are still family. A lot of our experiences are similar. If you ever feel like writing, feel free brother. There are a lot of us out here. Always remember you are a part of a family.
