Only 9 lbs from my half-way goal. I need to stay focused and not become impatient. I am also beginning to think about how to maintain, what I need to do differently this time around so as to break my cycle of losing and gaining over and over again. I know I have to stay on the scale because that is one of the things I stop doing when I know I am not eating healthy. I also think I will probably continue to monitor my calories because what I consider a portion size isn't really what any one person would normally eat. I know maintenance is still a long ways off but I am trying to adjust my thinking to maintaining health, not being "on" or "off" a "diet." Diets only work to lose weight, not to stay healthy.

Thanks for the encouragement. I must admit, though I didn't think it would be true when I started on fatsecret, but this site is great! It helps to both get and give encouragement ... I feel like I'm joined to all sorts of people of varying shapes and sizes that are working towards the same thing I am.
