I've got the grandkids today. Told my daughter I'd like to have them twice a week until Christmas. Did NOT tell her that the reason is because my hussband and I are using our time with them to teach them about the true meaning of Christmas, and we're teaching them Away In A Manger in sign language for them to sing at our Christmas get-together. My daughter and her husband do not profess to be Christians, even though my daughter DID profess in her childhood. They really don't like when the little one (5) talks about God. They tell him that God and Jesus are a fairy tale. Thankfully, he has a tender heart and believes what we tell him.
I have all my Christmas shopping DONE and everything that has arrived (from Amazon) has been wrapped and put under the tree. There are only about 3-4 things left to be delivered. My husband and I invested in a new television for ourselves, since ours was about 15 years old, and the picture wasn't good, making it even harder on our imperfect eyesight.
