Katsolo's Journal, 16 November 2020

Great weekend considering the state of the world. Walked pups with BF, came home, did some stuff and then had a solid swim even though the watch failed on the count as it tends to do after an update. Actually surprised by this bump given the activity I did and the previous two days, but hey, whatever. Wearing a fresh pair of jeans this morning and they still fit so all good. I'm going to keep doing what I did last week through the end of the year. Log it all, keep it just slightly lower and move more.

Swim was much better than Friday. Found the current, kept up, long strokes, 12 minutes in peak, 13 in cardio, so I was working. 10.7 METs, average heart rate in upper 140s. I'm up to 5 swims for November, so sticking with the minimum goal of 12 but really shooting for 16 because why not? My back feels much better. I did a tiny bit of ab work on the BOSU Saturday. It's very strange when something that's worked well all your life suddenly doesn't and you have to baby it. I'm used to being stubborn and powering through, but nope, not with this one. And it's not because I haven't tried. Muscle mass up along with the blob, will level out, I'm sure.

Anyways, another busy week. There's food in the fridge, I cooked a chicken last night and I have a tiny bit of salmon I may eat for lunch. Life is good. It's also already a good day because I knocked over a bottle of perfume from about four feet up and the bottle did not break. So lucky. Not because it was precious or anything, but because it would have been a stinky mess to deal with first thing on a Monday morning.

Spices on this guy got a little black from being too close to the heating element, but the bird itself was pretty awesome tasting. I love these new little birds they have at Costco. Perfect size for 2-3 days of eating and I don't have to feel guilty about those plastic boxes.
