Katsolo's Journal, 10 November 2020

Long walk last night, did the big loop, but almost no steps during the day, so only 11K for the day. Woke up to 49 degrees this morning, 54 in the house. It's officially winter! After a stormy weekend, it looks like we've moved on to clear and crisp for a few weeks. I'm not going to lie, it makes it challenging to get up the will to get in the water once the sun goes down. Flip side of that was that my walk was quiet and glorious. I love people, but I also love the feeling of being completely alone in the wild and that's close to impossible here, so walking in the dark is it. Good way to clear the mind and the stars are pretty amazing right now since there was no moon visible.

Been eating chicken (not Chechen) soup the past couple of days because that's what I tend to do when I'm cold. Before you call me a wuss, my indoor/outdoor office is just hitting 50 degrees an hour in. I'm still acclimating. We went from almost 90 to 60 in less than two weeks. Still a good chance it will be warm for Thanksgiving though. just depends.

Only 11k? I think that's pretty awesome! And I love being alone to walk, too! And I love looking at stars and eating chicken soup! :)

I used to hit 10K all the time until the past few months, now, it's a challenge. being aware of it is the first step, pun intended.
