Just a strange night last night. We did a super short walk last night due to crazy winds and rain kicking in once we were outside. only .64 miles. is that even a walk? it was for the dogs. funny thing though, we did some fairly steep hills at speed so every minute of it counted. that's what matters. came home, just tired and mentally disorganized. finishing up a big project from work this morning so I don't have to deal with it on Monday morning. The good thing is that the reviewers found nothing materially wrong which is unusual so I should be in and out fairly quickly.

Settled down to relax and helicopters for hours which is never good. Just prayers for all involved. ended up going to bed, but not a great sleep. will do better tonight.

Some personal stuff I need to get under control or at least get a plan together for before the holidays really kick in. I have no idea what the holidays are going to look like and even that is totally weird. my friends and I joke about pulling out the outside heaters, chanting and a mix of things we've been advised not to do but we're all cautious at the core, so I think it's mostly talk.

one of my neighbors has his christmas lights up. that gives me license to do what I want now, but I think I'll still wait until thanksgiving weekend. I also need to get up there and clear the gutters and scrub the panels. who says I don't know how to have a good time? party on.

I think I'm going to play around with my diet and start hitting the dry goods already in my pantry so I can use what's there and replace with new. beans, lentils, grains, etc. there will be bread of some sort. it's chilly and I've been wanting to bake for awhile. soup on the way as well. maybe some steel cut oats tomorrow for breakfast. I love winter food.

Girl there are so many people putting up Christmas lights. I LOVE Christmas so it is hard for me to hold off- but I will- until Black Friday- while the world shops- I decorate. I think we are all subconsciously trying to get out of 2020 as if Jan 1 will end something.

I left my "Halloween" lights up and will build on them for Christmas. but since thanksgiving is only two weekends away... maybe I should just go for it once the rain stops this weekend?

Hey girl! The walk counts for sure! I had hubby bring up a box with some inside decorations and the stockings so I can see what stuff I still need to buy. Almost done shopping!! Normally I’d have hit the sales this summer but with our vacation, surgery moved up and covid19 I wasn’t able to do any of that this year so I felt like I was way behind! Hubby went ahead and brought up the tree so I’m trying to decide if I should just take the donation stuff in and then set up the tree or wait until right after Thanksgiving like usual. I’ve always believed people should decorate when and how they want! Just do you!

Also I snuck a peek at your bio. Have to agree with all of that! However I’m on social media a LOT right now because I just can’t do a lot until whatever with my neck and arm heals up. I look at followers as saying I did something right and someone wants to learn from my journals. The number of them doesn’t matter to me either way but I like helping people. Family has said it’s almost an obsession at times lol. But with followers they can help themselves with my journals maybe which is nice. Also, make sure you don’t over do it with those gutters and other chores you have to do!

Peeper, I'm always going to be myself first. I feel like I was born for that role. and there's no judgment from me about being on social media, I have reasons for what I choose to share online and what I hold back. In a normal world, I'd be out doing stuff in the world on the weekends, but this year is so extraordinary in many ways. You need to do whatever helps you keep your sanity and balance and you are being put through the wringer this year, I don't know how you do it. You're amazing. Gutters are done, a flat roof makes all this stuff so easy. If the wind dies down, I'm going to swim, but I don't like random stuff falling on me, it freaks me out even if it's just small. The downside of having tons of trees and plants so close.

don't hold off on Christmas. I read a study last year that stuff that's people who decorate early are happier than people who wait. I vote for happy so let's decorate!

I’m going to put some up tomorrow. We’re having storms today, so I’m going swimming. Because I’m an idiot. But I’m a happy idiot that plans on eating pizza later and then doing Christmas stuff.

Aww thanks! I keep sane by playing online spades, reading, playing with the animals and doing whatever I’m able to do around the house that day. I also shop, run errands and volunteer at school for an hour one morning a week. I’ve been researching matching Christmas PJs lately and I can look those up for an hour or two each day lol. Hard to find the same PJs in a kids 6, kids 14 and adult s/m. Not to mention if we want to get some for hubby and I too. Then schedules came out so I spent an entire morning color coding 4, yes 4, handwritten calendars for myself, hubby and two kiddos. Just 4 months worth for now as that’ll get us through basketball season and the holidays. Also reorganized my Christmas spreadsheet and rewrote it all out nice and neat. I’m keeping busy haha. I’d freak out if things fell on me in the pool. But I’m still afraid of water. Takes me an hour or so just to feel comfortable in water above my waist. Long story but I was traumatized as a kid and I’ve never gotten over it. Don’t think I’d swim with storms though. But if pizza is the reward then I’d probably try it lol.

There are no rules this year!! Hang up all the Xmas stuff now. There’s no telling what tomorrow will bring, so just do what makes you happy. 💖 I’m getting a 6ft Christmas tree on Black Friday. This year can suck it!
