Good morning! Happy Sunday!

I'm up early for a Sunday - it's gonna be a FUN morning.

I'm rockin' with the band at 8:30 AM, and I'm looking forward to it. It's been two weeks and that is WAY too long.

We have our first "real" live gig in three weeks, and we need to get our act together. We're pretty much there, but I'd be more comfortable if we can polish things off a little more.

We don't get paid for the gig, it's just a "for fun" thing, but obviously we'd like to show up and play our best. There's no expectations from anyone (other than us), so there's no real pressure.

I think we'll blow them away. :)

I was writing to my buddy ClassicRocker just now, and we were talking music a little bit. She's a cool lady. I can't believe she met one of my favorite musicians!

This inspired me to pull our these two photos. Not only am I stoked that I'm in them, as they are some of my favorite "celebrities", but they're also fun before and (almost) after pictures:

Most people will recognize Robert Englund who plays Freddie Krueger in the Nightmare On Elm Street movies.

Not everyone will recognize Glenn Hughes, who is my absolute favorite singer, and a huge bass player icon for me. Coolest dude around.

Here, of course, Hughes is playing guitar. But it's an amazing performance.

...

So, how did yesterday go? Did I avoid the Indulgence Day?

Absolutely!

I did GREAT yesterday, I think. I did have a post-dinner treat - a little ice cream, but nothing worth mentioning, really. I stayed within my normal day RDI, and ended up 380 calories under. Not bad at all.

I met my exercise goals, except for the "very active minutes" one. It doesn't mean I didn't do anything, I just didn't have an actual workout or long walk. I did have 8 hours of work at the gym, standing up the entire time, walking back and forth and clocking in at 11,000 steps before I got home. I think that's more than enough. :)

...

The scale says I'm UP 200 grams, and that my bodyfat% is down by 1.7%. This indicates a weight loss, and I'm sure it'll show tomorrow or Tuesday. I have no worries about this.

Besides, a 200 gram gain on a Sunday is super good for me. Normally, after Indulgence Day, I'd be gaining 2 to 4 kilos. And - lately - another Indulgence Day could come around on Sundays, and up it even further.

I'm glad this isn't happening this week. Of course, I have to be careful to NOT let today go awry either.

Since I am out all morning, it gets easier. I don't get tempted to do a morning breakfast with Wife, but instead I'll be pushing my feeding window to open at 2 PM when I come home instead of 11 AM when it normally opens. I'll still close it at 7 PM regardless.

I most likely won't be hungry until I am home no matter. I will, however, bring a protein drink just in case. I can have it or not - it'll be entirely up to me, as long as I don't have it until 11 AM, when my feeding window opens. It's easy and simple, and it'll help me getting my protein in.

...

It's about time I start packing my music gear and get ready.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Rockin' out today!
- No real gain after a Saturday!
- Wife!
- Morning coffee! Best thing ever!

Happy Sunday to all! Life is good!

Did you tape or record the gig? If so, why don't you post it.

Today was just rehearsal. I wanted to record it, but we never got around to it. Three more weeks until the concert. I'm hoping for a good recording of it. :)

SO very cool - I'm just floored every time I see a 'before' picture of you (or should I call it a "never again" picture??) It just doesn't even seem real that it's you!! Good luck on your concert, I'm sure it will be amazing!

Wow! The great Glenn Hughes! I'm jealous! I've been a fan since the Deep Purple days. All the albums with Joe Lynn Turner, Black Country Communion, and I even have my original Hughes/Thrall album on vinyl. Great vocalist, and a wonderful bass player. Being a fellow musician, you're a lucky man!

Cool Majarichie... another rocker.

Majarichie, I hear you! :) You'll be even more jealous to hear that one of my good Danish friends has actually been the monitor sound guy for Hughes for a number of years. He's been touring with him in Europe, solo and with BCC. :)
