Sitting with my Obusform back massager finally finishing my 2nd cup of coffee. Concentrating on the lower back. I do feel a lot better after sleeping, than yesterday. My body...especially my back & knees were feeling the effects of 2 days of packing. Then what was supposed to be a 2 hour drive home increased by an hour & a half. We came up on an accident on the highway going thru downtown Atlanta. My sister was worried cause her gas tank was getting low so we pulled off in search of a gas station. Who knew gas stations are not on every corner in DT Atlanta....like we are accustomed to. Thank goodness for GPS that finally found one! I actually tried googling on my phone & it told me there was a gas station less than a mile away but would take an hour to get there! Obviously, further down the highway. Driving the city streets in rush hour traffic was fun! After arriving at my niece's (where my sis is staying) I had a 45 min. drive back to my house.

Thankfully, Hubby had made the mistake of putting the fresh pizza I had bought for his dinner Tues. night in the freezer. He realized it was supposed to be defrosted for cooking so I was able to pop it in the oven for our dinner. Then I ate half of a medium Supreme pizza🍕🍕....had wine 🍷 🍷🍷 and cookies 🍪 🍪. I was tired & achy and ate way more calories than I should have. That & the stress of waiting for election results.

The good news is I burned a few extra calories & was down .4 from Tues. morning's weigh in. I think I've determined if I stay really active I can eat a lot more. Reality is that I want to focus on eating more of the healthy foods I've had in my diet the past year & have the treats in smaller quantities. We'll never know for sure, but my Brother in law's love of country cooking and some of the less healthy choices may have contributed to his heart attack. He has fought the battle with his weight fluctuating up & down like all of us for the past years. He had started Weight Watchers once again in Jan. but with Covid I think had been tempted to eat all the good stuff again. With my sis working long hours they often ate restaurant meals. She told me she was going back to trying to lose few lbs. again. She only needs (wants) to lose about 15 lbs. and I'm sure will be successful. She is taller than me & has never been overweight by a lot, but it's easy to add that extra few lbs. Especially as we get older.

Although, I had planned for today to be a down day I brought in the 2 plants I brought back from my sister's she gave me...next thing I knew I was organizing & moving plants all over....including the ones I had brought in from outside to protect from the weekend frost. I put a few back outside since the immediate forecast is for warmer weather. A few I found a long term home indoors for the Winter. I'd rather not be dealing with some of them when it gets cold again.

Planning a Costco run tomorrow. Steak & salad with a few baby potatoes for dinner tonight. The cupboards are getting bare & we have one strip steak to share in the freezer. We were looking at Hello Fresh for next week but decided to save the money for Costco goodies 😊
143.0 lb Lost so far: 29.8 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
