Hmm perhaps it’s time to rethink that 100-300 kcal over lol. Or not. I’ll give it a few days. I have inflammation in neck and shoulder so that could be some of this. Also need to check and see if gabapentin causes a gain. Not worried yet but it’s time to watch a bit closer so I can make adjustments quickly if needed.

Yes Gabapentin has inflammation as a side effect. I got off in June. If you haven't been on it too long, I'd recommend getting off sooner than later. It's the latest wonder drug that's magic in the medical field.

Why would you say get off it soon? What’s so bad about it? Right now it’s the only thing keeping my shoulder pain in check. I’m taking Advil with it but Advil wasn’t cutting the pain for more than 2 hours at a time. So I was getting 6 hours of relief per day and now I’m getting 8-12 depending on how much I use the arm. I have 20 days of it and a refill of 20 days. If it doesn’t work and let me use the arm we will have to start physical therapy I believe. I can move the shoulder but not lift my arm as of now. But I can lift from fingers to elbow so can finally do a few things. Need a stool to stand on just to wash my hands though lol.

It was great at first as it was allowing me to sleep, but after a few months I was suffering with inordinate amount of swelling in both legs and feet, so it became counterintuitive as the pain it was helping me sleep through was being replaced by the pain I was experiencing in my legs & feet.

No swelling so far but only like day 3. Dr has me coming back in two weeks to evaluate pain levels and range of motion.

I do have drowsiness at night which is perfectly fine with me as I have insomnia!
