Egull1's Journal, 27 September 2020

Yesterday's weigh in had me at 111.6 - so it looks like last nights surplus food baby weighs in with a 2.4 lb increase. We rounded out the night at around 3430 cals (most of it was wine). Mom and I split the last bottle of red out of our Maryhill Vineyard case.

I'm afraid there are no pics to post. I was pretty ravenous, and needless to say it was delicious!

Approximate macros were:
Protein: 205
Carbs: 289
Fiber: 41
Fat: 119

Not too shabby for a Mexican cuisine surplus day and pretty mild.

I will not be adding this weigh in to my Happy Scale app averages. Since I am in the midst of daily increases - a surplus day throws that average off. And, especially one that doesn't even hit the 3500 mark. Knowing as accurate a moving average as possible is important right now in determining whether or not I increase daily cals.

For instance I weighed in at 111.6 yesterday. Since I usually couch my low cal days on Friday and Saturday, I usually hit the lowest low of the week on Sunday morn by about a pound less than the day before, which tells me I might have been 110.8 or lower today without the surplus day, and would have been in line for another increase in daily cals.

I'm still holding steady with 1781 cals/day. But, I want to see where we are in the next couple of weekends without the surplus day in the mix. So, today's weigh in is not going to be added to my over-all average weight.

My current moving average has me about 111.4, which sounds about right. I don't want to give the impression that scale weight means everything, but when one is "increasing" there cals - it actually kind of does, because the goal here is to try and really fine tune where maintenance cals are and to make sure the body is not under-fueled.

That being said, I can feel that wonderful post surplus day pump will be using it in the gym today with some resistance training and a 23 minute interval workout on the recumbent. It was a lovely fall weekend in WA - the leaves are really beginning to turn and I can feel the crisp bite to the air that tells me Autumn is indeed upon us.

Have a beautiful blessed Sunday, everyone. I'll catch ya next weekend
