So I found this site today. I actually started this a couple of weeks ago 1/14/2009 and then weighed 225. I'm very happy to have lost 10 lbs. However I believe that just shows how horribly I was eating before I started. Now the work really begins but the last couple of weeks has been about gathering tools to help me along my way!

This week I began working out and not just by shoveling snow but by going to the gym and working out. 2 times so far and I've made arrangements with DH to go tonight so 3 times this week. When it gets nicer I plan to walk before I head over but right now I'm not going out in the zero below for a walk.

I'm also trying a new way of managing my food intake. As I've done this before and written down everything I put in my mouth but gotten lost along the way. This time however I'm writing down what I'm going to eat at the begining of the day or the night before and find it's easier for me to stick to it. First I don't have to think what to eat it's kind of like it's assigned to me. On my task list. This really helps preplanning my menu and my activity means I'm more likely to do it.

So WW it is because I understand the principles and there's no crazy schedule or shopping list. DH helped me work out my spreadsheets and I have them up and running. This helps also it's all done I just have to plug the numbers in.

So after losing 10 lbs and better eating habits, I find it's easier to sleep and no more heartburn every single night. Now if I could just lose 10 more and maybe get rid of the pain in my knees that would be a big step!

So far so good!

215.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 47.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
