Here is my "official" postpartum fitness goal. I know I won't be able to do a whole initially. I think my hospital discharge orders say I won't be able to return to a more active fitness program for another month. I will check with my OB at my follow up appt this coming Monday to confirm. I think an average 3lb/month weight loss should be very realistic and attainable right now. I may adjust/advance my goal weight and anticipated completion date later on if I am able to make significant progress once I get back to working out. I know my hubby will be glad to have a workout partner again- he hates working out by himself and enjoys weight lifting. He's a good trainer for weight lifting and that's what I hope to get back to once I am cleared to do that. I've had the best success with overall fitness when my exercise routine included strength training and cardio. I almost made it to my ultimate goal two years ago, this time I think I'll make it all the way. :)
