Missing our afternoon walk today....it started raining again just as we were planning to leave. It has been threatening to rain for a couple of days with thunder off in the distance for long stretches. We finally got a thunderstorm earlier today. We also lost power for a couple of hours after a power pole went over a few miles down the road. Since the stove & toaster didn't work , I ended up having a Greek yogurt with 1/4 cup of Great Grains cereal mixed in with my fresh fruit for a late breakfast. Yesterday afternoon's walk was nice. The rain off in the distance must have brought in some cooler air so I didn't even get hot & sweaty like I have been recently.

I made an old recipe for Chicken Enchiladas last night. I tweaked it a bit with low carb tortillas & reduced fat sour cream. It called for 3 cups of cubed chicken but I only used 2 cups. I had 2 chicken breasts in a presealed pack from Costco & it just happened to make 2 cups...I added some spinach to the mix to provide more veggies so that bulked it up a bit. I ate 3....700 calories total. I probably would have been satisfied with just 2 if I'd waited a few minutes. I was pretty full after the 3rd. I had the calories to spare but didn't need them all.

Today has been quiet....caught up with my sister on the phone, watched a little TV (DVR'D), worked on a puzzle, cut some fresh flowers during a break in the rain & watered the indoor plants. I did go out & try to pull more of a vine out of one of the Rose of Sharon trees. I cut it at the base but hadn't been able to reach high enough to pull it all out. The rain must gave shifted it a bit cause I was able to reach & pull a bunch of it down.

I was considering getting Wings at a local place....Saturday they have a special....but Hubby's stomach was bothering him today. His gout flared up & the meds make him queasy 😕 So probably not a good idea. Looks like Chicken Tortilla Soup for dinner. Maybe grilled cheese with that.
144.4 lb Lost so far: 28.4 lb.    Still to go: 9.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
