What started with the easy repotting of some red vinca & the other Crossandra for my front porch turned into full on work up a sweat in the gardens yesterday. I needed to clean up some dirt from the repotting & ended up moving everything o. the porch to sweep & clean. Then I moved to sweeping around the garage door. Next thing I knew I had the ladder out pulling wayward vines out of the jasmine on the arbor....then giving the bushes in the garden around the arbor a trim....trimming the jasmine & some of the volunteer vines that had decided to join the vinca in the garden. Then cleaning up all the debris created from all that trimming. I think I may have burned a few extra calories 😊 I was debating skipping the afternoon walk & as it started to drizzle I was almost relieved. But, after an opportunity to sit & relax for a bit the idea of a walk was OK again 👣

Yesterday, I came upon a doe several times in the yard. Once, she was munching away at some of the vines I had cut & dragged over to the edge of the woods. We saw a doe with her fawn a couple of days ago....I'm not sure if she's the same one. We've also had Blue Jay sightings a lot in the last week. I had Hubby buy some peanuts in the shell to put out for them today. A Blue Jay landed on the deck rail this morning & sat there a few minutes, so I'm hoping to get them to get up close more often.

When trying to decide what dinner should be last night I had a couple of options...decided on Sausages. I was wanting some saurkraut but didn't have any but remembered there was cabbage in the fridge. I sautéed a couple slices of bacon....added onion, the cabbage & Roma Apple slices. Hubby seared the sausages on the grill then I put them on top of the cabbage mixture & finished it all off in the oven for 20 minutes. I also had some green beans I sautéed in a nonstick skillet with a little Olive oil Pam then added a little water and cooked til they were tender....sprinkled them with Everything Bagel seasoning. The funny thing was I was tired & didn't want to make a lot if effort for dinner. It wasn't difficult, but as the prep progressed I really got into creating a yummy meal. That's how a lot of my meals are...I start with an ingredient or 2 & it progresses from there.

It's really heating up this week....high 80's today then 90's for several days. It's almost time to go walk.

Tuna steaks for dinner tonight....asparagus....maybe some brown rice & quinoa. I think I have just enough mango to make relish for the fish.
