Katsolo's Journal, 04 June 2020

Long walk last night, no swim, very late dinner since I didn't get home until around 8:30, much less cook. Time just gets away from me sometimes. Cereal with yogurt and berries just because why not at that point.

May include some inversion table notes for reference for a bit for my own reference. Up to three minutes already, taking breaks during the day, adjusted lumbar bridge and it's made a huge difference. Working on preventing "geek neck" as well as sciatic issues. Still like hanging upside down, it's relaxing. I'm not at the point where I feel comfortable doing a "full inversion" where you hang by your ankles away from the board. I think I want a spotter the first time because I need to be sure I will be able to get up on my own power. Would be very embarrassing having to call for help because I got stuck upside down.

Last night's walk was great. I stopped and talked with two new people, one has a young GSD and will join us for class once we're allowed to resume, hoping that's in a couple of weeks because my dogs miss their friends and I miss mine. Talked to an old timer in the neighborhood who knows my house and gave me some history on it. That was really cool. My house is 100 years old this year and they were quite literally experiencing a similar pandemic when it was completed in 1920. Everything is definitely cyclical.

Holding steady, not surprised. Tomorrow is my Friday off and I have to clean, so will burn some major calories there. I'm not where I want to be on my June mileage because it's been a guessing game on whether it's safe to walk the long course or not. Last night was calm and I wasn't the only one out. Too much going on at the beginning of the week to go out.

Sounds like a relaxing evening. Knowing the history of your house is awesome. What inversion table did you end up getting?

I got the Teeter X3 off QVC after price checking all over the place. I don't know if it "cures" anything, but it's the deepest full body stretch I've gotten in years and that all by itself feels great. Especially my shoulders and neck which is where I carry my stress. I'm not giving up the occasional massage though. I might start taking my heart rate before and after just out of curiosity. I think this also fulfills the put your feet above your heart for ten minutes a day guidance my dad used to always do per his doc. 🤣🤣🤣

If you want one, look around, I saw a huge price range. They also have discounted blemished ones on the Teeter site which I would have done had I known.

Your progress with the "hangings" is so interesting. I hope you find good health benefits as a result. How interesting to know more about your home's history!
