carriegara's Journal, 07 May 2020

So I've come to the conclusion that I was actually accidentally starving myself, and that's why I was gaining. I was eating about 1400 calories a day while working out. The thing is, I didn't feel that hungry though, so I naturally reduced my intake and figured it wouldn't hurt. Yesterday I ate things like cookies and M&Ms, and yet I still managed to go down instead of up. My body's confusing, but I'll learn it eventually haha

I hope you guys are having a great day!! <3

You dont need all that protein, nor is processed foods a good idea. Eat real food from nature and mosgly plants and you will not have a weight problem. Namaste

Sounds like you're goal-oriented and determined to succeed, Carrie🤙🏼 I joined FS in Aug 2019; it can be a great forum for encouragement, support, and tools to successfully reach your weight loss goals. Check out member profiles/journals/posts for those who are consistent, focused, and health minded. As an example, when I think about significant weight loss from intuitive eating and portion control, Keyten77, Rosio19, and Moopie321 come to mind. Their personal journeys are unique yet similar, and nothing short of amazing! Beware of members who give you professional-sounding advice but use FS for nothing more than a personal diary or social outlet. Know that what works for others may not work for you and listen to your body because it will guide you. Remember, YOU deserve more than a "chat room" to focus on the path to achieve YOUR goals and live YOUR best life!

Every body responds different so it’s great you figured this out about how yours works. I’ve undereaten too while working out, but changing my diet on many days to around 2000 calories has still shown a weight loss. Keep up the awesome work!

carriegara, thanks for your post. What you said I can relate to with where I'm at right now on my diet/journey to becoming healthier. Sometimes our bodies are confusing. Recently mine began doing the same thing as yours was...I'm eating 1500 calories a day or less while exercising but somehow my appetite went way down. I'm only eating certain foods on a meal plan I have and the last few days have been struggling to reach 1500 because I'm just not hungry/don't feel like eating. It's weird. I think I'm sick of the lack of variety or something but I'm concerned that my body is or will be going into starvation mode and holding on to the fat because not enough food is being consumed

I did the same thing last month! Along with not losing any weight I felt like crap😕 Glad you found out what the issue was😊💛

Thanks Acomandr! I always see others profiles for encouragement (to name a few Shirfleur, Tatau, and JCMama for me personally haha) and honestly o feel like everyone's journey is amazing in their own way, no matter how fast or slow they go. Like you said though, I'll pay attention to my body and listen what works for it, not necessarily for others. Thank you for the kind words!! :) Thanks Itank512, we all sure are haha. :) Thank you LaniZ, I'm glad you found out what works best for you! Natalie, no problem. Like Acomandr said, everyone's bodies are different. I personally had to force myself to eat more in order to lose weight again. Maybe try spicing things up (not litterally, but you can if you'd like haha) and eat some different food because you said you might be getting tired of them. I wish you the best of luck!! :) Linedrive, thank you! I also felt like crap haha :)

It’s always great to recognize what works and doesn’t. This is why I love logging, I can see how much or too little I’m consuming. Right now, I’m very low calories this week, just the way it’s panned out, same, not feeling the hungries. I struggled the past 5-6 weeks though too with feeling like my stomach was eating my back. It’s trial and error friend. We’re all human and going through this♥️😞 I know what my happy medium is, applying it the past few weeks has not been easy. Moving more during this time is getting me through and I’m reeling myself back into the way I ate before Covid. So thankful for positive support, the friends I made and I’m still a work in progress. I know I have the tools in the toolbox, but no one is perfect. Trial and error and never give up💜💚
