Katsolo's Journal, 30 April 2020

Today is the last day of my April challenge and I've got it in the bag by simply existing, I think. The goal was to burn 23,900 calories during the month. This morning, I'm at 23,191. I used to always miss these goals because of work and what not, but with the double workout days I'm going to hit this one which also means I'm on track to hit all the monthly goals for the year. These are not weight related goals, they're fitness goals, but they all lead to the same thing - better health. My move streak is at 76 days. That's going to be a hard one to lose if and when it happens. Every day is a new personal record.

I only walked last night. It got cold really fast last night and I guess I should have taken an hour during the workday but I didn't. Guess that will be an area to focus on going forward.

I did discover online last night that there is a boxing club very close to where I live. That's exciting. I can't afford it at the moment, but I'd love to get back into kickboxing again, not going to fight, but I do want to work with a live trainer again. Something to work towards next year. I'm sure it's closed anyways being a gym.

I took some more pictures of flowers on my walk last night. Bear with me, I'm used to a DSLR camera, so the features of the phone I've been carrying the past year have been severely underutilized. I am enjoying discovering what the software lets me do in the shot and after the fact. Learning new things is fun and what better thing to focus on than these gorgeous blooms, big and little, that will disappear so quickly. These shots are from my walk in a local canyon. Note: pic quality has been turned down for uploading file size and was taken with three large dogs on leash in the other hand.

I saw my baby opossum again last night. No pics since I was looking out the front porch, but he is alive and well.
