In the week since the cabbage soup diet I put on 5 pounds. I've really not eaten enough for a gain like that, but my sodium intake is much higher, I've been having excessive pain & swelling in my right knee and have exercised less intensely. The last couple days I've felt really low and have snacked like crazy. Pain interferes with my sleep, which compounds things.

That all being said, it's a gorgeous new day! I'm switching things up and seeing how I do in BodyPump, maybe CXWORX. That failing, I'll ride a recumbent bike, try a few weight machines, then go to Silver Sneakers. You can't keep a good woman down, and Old Kat is not taking out New Kat with depression and crape foods!

I see my physical therapist this afternoon, will ask for suggestions for alternate work outs when pain keeps me from my beloved Zumba. Plus hopefully figure out &relieve this knee pain issue.

Feel better hon ~ pain sucks. The weight is probably just fluid protecting your knee.

I am in the same boat as you are friend. This sucks. My leg cramps woke me up 4-5 different times last night. I forgot to drink my pickle juice but I had lots of potassium. Sleep is MAJOR when it comes to our keeping weight off. Let's hope for a good night's sleep tonight for ALL of us. :)

Thanks, Bella. Neptune, I hope your leg cramps go away and we all get enough precious sleep! BodyPump was great; a 45 minute barbell weight lifting class. CXWORX was a 30 minute core strengthening class; good stuff! My Silver Sneakers and Zumba gave me a good foundation to be able to do both in good form. Two of my Zumba pals were there with me, which made it even more enjoyable. This will be good for me! I hope to do it twice a week. I came home, did my stretches, used my foam roller, and had a ground turkey breast burger with sliced tomato and an orange for lunch. I WILL take good care of myself, doing the best I possibly can. That includes getting out & enjoying the sunshine!

Morning, hope your therapist had some good ideas for you. And I am sure the weight gain is water weight so hope it resolves soon too. You look fabulous by the way :)
