I'm just passing through to say, "Hi!"
I'll be busy baking my GF bread and packing for the weekend. It's supposed to be really awful this weekend, so my friend has gotten a motel room for us for tomorrow and Sat. night. That won't make the event itself more pleasant. I know the site has a small barn, but I doubt it's big enough to hold us all for the tournament. They certainly are part of my medieval clothing, but I'm wearing long-johns and my snow boots. If I keep my feet warm and dry, I'm hoping the rest of me will be OK. LOL!

friends who can afford motel rooms and take me along.

Have a wonderful time at the tournament, despite the weather. Can you have open fires? a Way to stay warm :-)///My sister in Germany just came back form one of the biggest events starting off the season, about 2,000 participants split up in 3 camps and a huge marketplace. I I was there twice and I really loved it. First time we had 24hr rain, every place turned into mud. they actually tipped over a table and used it for some mud sliding down the hill... quite a sight. That's when I got my wooden shoes and carry them around ever since. Feet stay dry and quite warm (with two pair of socks ;-) ). Anyway, I am glad you have a dry place to stay and the convenience of a shower. Works wonders. Again, have a great time!

I hope the event is fabulous and that it isn't as cold or wet as you are thinking. I have never camped, I am just too much of a princess so I admire you for even thinking about it. A motel sounds much more civilized. And congrats on the new baby :)
