Goodmorning, my friends!

One of the things that happen when you wake up after a "Hunger Reset Day" is that you're looking forward to breakfast. Strangely, though, you're no more hungry than you would be any other morning.

I got up, went to the restroom, weighed in, got dressed and went to cook breakfast.

I had the intentions of making my eggs with rye bread and ham as always. However, I stopped before I even started, because my body and mind was calling for a smoothie. Strange. Those protein smoothies are really calling me now. I like them.

So I made one of those instead. Frozen strawberrries, a fresh banana, protein powder and milk. Yum!

Now, what obviously ALSO happens after a "Hunger Reset Day" is that you lose weight. Your bowels are more or less empty. It's not a real fatloss, but of course there will be some.

For me, this means I am down a pound - 900g. I am now in my 81's. Again, I don't really think I wanna be this low, but it still gives me a little kick (in a good way) to see a new low. Weird. I'm SO hard wired to wanting to lose weight now.

The only really impressive thing about it is that, according to my scale, my BMI is now in the NORMAL WEIGHT RANGE. :) Go me! I am no longer "slightly overweight", as my scale likes to call it. LOL. Meh, to me this doesn't really matter, as BMI is a bogus number anyways.

So, what's in store today?

Well, first of all, I'm gonna enjoy my super delish, HUGE smoothie. It ended up WAY bigger than I thought - probably because I added the banana. It'll take a little while to finish. It should easily be able to carry me over for some hours.

Then, I'm gonna go walk, and then head to the gym.

At the gym I'll be doing my workout, and then the owner will go a round with me to fine tune my way of doing things, so I can be sure to teach them right for future customers at the gym.

I guess this is my first work day there, but just for an hour or two. Nothing major.

After that - not a whole lot. It's a grey, rainy day. I'm probably gonna brush up on the three songs that we're gonna jam on Sunday, to present at the jam night this coming Wednesday. That, and just hang with Wife.

Today is a holiday in Denmark, so all the stores are pretty much closed, and there really isn't a whole lot to do. It's just gonna be quiet, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I do with the weather would have been nicer, so I could have been a little more outdoors.

Oh, and I think I am potentially getting sick. I've been sniffling these last few days. I try to push it down with Day/Night cold/flu medicine, and it takes most of it away for me. I hope I can keep it like that. I don't really like to miss gym, or any other part of my life in general from being sick.

I don't really feel much of the cold symptoms, just a raspy voice and running nose occasionally. I don't get the fatigue this time, so I really am not sure what's going on. It could maybe just be allergies, now that spring is peeking out.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- A great night's sleep!
- A super deliscious smoothie for breakfast! Very nice!
- Morning coffee!
- Being in "Normal" weight range. It IS a nice thing, mentally.
- Gym, and introductions there afterwards.
- Hanging with Wife through the day.

Have a great Friday, and a great weekend! Life is good!

Well done on changing things up for breakfast - my breakfast is a MAJOR habit; it's all good but I could do with something different, especially on low-cal days. I am so hardwired to having my favourite bowlful, though, and I love it.

Isn't it funny how you just FEEL like a smoothy some days! Good for you, now get bunches of spinach, freeze it, crush it up frozen, and pour in smoothy mixture before blending. You don't taste it and adds TONS of nutrients. I promise! I promise! HAHA. If you do find yourself needing to go higher in calories to maintain your weight, and don't want to stuff yourself, getting a protein powder that is balanced carbs/fats or what ever balanced is for YOU, will help add the calories without the stuff or having to set so much time aside for meals. Cheers!

Great idea about the spinach, Lizzy. I'll take a look at that! Thanks!

I get that way now and then - smoothie mood. Agree with the spinach - and you may consider chia seeds :-)

Love the idea of adding frozen spinach! Also what holiday is you are having?

It's called "Store Bededag". Translates to "The Great Day Of Prayer". Danes are great at celebrating each and every holiday they can find an excuse for - and this is really impressive seeing that we according to surveys are the least religious (and most happy!) country in the world! Also, most people celebrate these holidays by stuffing themselves silly and get drunk. Go religion! :D

Well Happy "Store Bededag" day;-) Wow, you are "Normal" weight range, who does that?....Kingkeld! Great job! Hey what vitamins do you take?

Hi King. I'm planning a fast day for today. I'm still amazed that I'm not ravenous the day after. If anything, I'm much less hungry than normal. I am having trouble with sleep though. I went to investigate online and found that this is one of the downsides for women. Apparently, fasting disrupts our sleep cycles. They're not sure why. It doesn't effect men the same way. Have a lovely holiday, even if it's a bit damp.

Bluecreme - I just take a standard vitamin pill in the morning. That's all. So far, my numbers are fine. :)

Johanne - there is a theory about the lack of sleep/waking up. I found this little article about it and it makes perfect sense to me. Of course I can't find it again. Anyways, the idea is that we all have our inner caveman who is taking care of us. This is my terminology. Basically, he's the one that makes us plateau when we go too low for too long time. Then he panics when he things we're starving, and won't let us burn our fat reserves. He's also the one who doesn't let our metabolism kick in until we actually consume some calories in the morning. He simply wants to see that there is going to be food available before he does something drastic such as kick in fat burning. Anyways, when he suddenly sees that we're just not eating anything, or eating unusually little, he sees that we need to go get food. Basically, our hunting instinct wakes up. We get more alert. We get more energy. We get more oxygen to the brain. We don't fall asleep. We are basically prepping to go hunt! I hope this makes as much sense to you as it does to me.

I like your caveman story. Enjoy your nice happy holiday!

That was the surmise in the articles I read, as well. It makes sense, especially for women who might be caring for their children. It's just annoying. I usually sleep so well.

I really think that if we learn to UNDERSTAND the caveman and the way he reacts to our modern behavior, then we're much stronger in our weight loss.

Inner Caveman... That's a great way to sum it up, and yes, makes SO much sense!!

Well done. I just wanted to say I hope you feel better and don't get full blown flu, and I am so jealous, I would love to work in a gym showing people what to do etc !!
