Not shabby considering last week's "surplus day" ended at around 3600 cals. The extra cals definitely got put to good use in my workouts. I'm actually quite surprised at this weigh in as I have inflammation of the "good & bad" variety going on right now. Last Friday's met-con kicked my butt and this girl definitely felt it the next day. In fact, before stepping on the scale Saturday morning I thought "you better give me a couple pounds up, because the amount of soreness I feel deserves some serious water retention!".

The bad kind of inflammation is due to some hay fever and allergies and after posting this, my famous trifecta (a dose of claritin - non drowsy, flonase, and ibu-profin) is on my to do list.

Anyhow, the scale complied thankfully, and I was up to 125.6. lbs yesterday morn. I told my body, "feel free to add a little more water in there to help cushion these joints if you feel like it." I knew I would be down this morning, but given the fact that I still feel perty darn sore - I wasn't expecting miracles. However, I sure won't argue with 123.2 and it looks like the surplus day did me some good. It was crazy how much I ate. It was one of those "anything your heart desires" days and I even took myself to Austin's fire house grill where I enjoyed some sweet potato fries and a pulled pork Quesadilla.

Below is this weeks caloric trajectory. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a relaxing Sunday.

For reference to anyone new. These are maintenance cals and I am 5'2. I have been in maintenance for 1 year and 26 weeks. I work out 5 days a week. And, in the winter season I have one 2300 plus surplus day per month. In the summer I put in 2 surplus days/month due to increased activity.

I learn so much from every one of your posts. I have to consider my "inflammation scale" when I weigh too, so I know what you mean. It's partially why I don't take the scale so seriously...

Awww, I'm glad anything I post is helpful. And, yes I have definitely learned almost down to the pound how much I will be up when inflammation is present. It's interesting because I've definitely noticed I retain less water now that I weight less. It used to be between Thursday & Saturday, I would gain 5-7 lbs in water weight alone. Now, it's not more that 2-3 even with inflammation.
