Day 7 of a planned 11 days of mostly ‘no solid food’ fasting

Looking over my history, I can only lose 3-5 pounds a year with a *lot* of effort. This is discouraging when you have been obese all your adult life like I have.

My history has also shown that when I lose, say 10 pounds, I lose it all-at-once.

This is just an 'experiment' to see what the results would be. Essentially the change, over the usual diet, was to *not-gain-weight*.

I honestly have no idea what will happen at the end of the 11 days. It is entirely possible for me to not lose any more weight.

I’m not gonna lie, I really want to hit 169 lbs by Friday…

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!
175.0 lb Lost so far: 32.0 lb.    Still to go: 11.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Is it possible that your normal weight should be 180 or a little less? I always wonder how people know what weight they should be unless they had some kind of accurate test to see their percentage of body fat. And of course it all depends on the amount of body fat a person hopes to have. It's interesting to follow your experiments and I do hope that you get where you want to be.

I used to think the same thing. I only became capable of more weight loss when I kept a consistent daily calorie deficit of 500. Everyday! I’m sure that at 170 lbs this is tougher since you don’t naturally burn as many calories as someone at 250 lbs. My weight has been between 270 and 295 lbs most of my adult life Then I learned over the two years what in my food as energy and nutrients.

Completely understand how you feel! I have done the "no solid food" for a six week stint. It was beyond difficult but stick with it, I saw and felt a difference!!
