Good morning!

It's Wednesday, it's hump day, and it's gonna be a great and fun day, I think.

I have a few "meh-cases", stuff that isn't too crazy, going on at work today, and then a meeting in the afternoon.

The meeting is really the only thing that demands a little attention, and it's not because of the actual work involved.

See, there is this thing that THEY have decided.

Everyone wants cake at these weekly meetings, and THEY have decided that THEY want to take turns buying.

This is the first week in this new system.

So, the easiest way to administrate who is buying is by starting with the person at the end of the hallway and work their way through the hallway of offices.

Well, guess who sits at the end of the hallway? That's right. Me.

So, I get to be the first one to buy cake, on the day where I am on a 600 calorie RDI. :/

Well, at least it'll keep me completely from having any.

Actually, it isn't all that bad. I get it out of the way, and today I am probably much more determined to not have any than I would be another time. It's all good. Just felt like griping a little about it.

I am down 500 grams today, and I'm slowly inching my way back towards the low I reached last week. I still have two days to go until I declare that I'm "done", but I really am not sure if I can make it. There is still 1400 grams to go. Still, I've done it before.

All I can do is do good. I can't really push anything any further than I am already doing. I eat low cal. I eat smaller portions. I workout daily in one way or the other. I drink tons of water.

Still, if I don't reach a new low, that's fine. I am perfectly okay with it. It's just my damn mind talking - "you gotta finish on a high note, Keld!".

In about 30 minutes, I'll be heading to the gym. I'm curious as to how this will go today. I feel tired today, a lot. I didn't sleep all too good - I think this is mostly due to excessive coffee drinking last night. My own fault all the way. However, once I fell asleep I slept like a rock.

However, because I am still tired, I feel that I lack a little motivation to go. I WILL go, though, and I know it's all good once I am out the door.

It's an active day that is waiting out there, and it's a fun one.

The plans for today are as follows:

- Gym.
- Work.
- 2nd breakfast at work.
- Work some more.
- Lunch. Today is a simple salad with a tiny bit of light dressing.
- A nice post-lunch walk to go pick up the cakes for the meeting. I will make sure to detour, and make it a 3 kilometer (two miles) walk, just to kick in a bit extra exercise.
- Meeting.
- A wee bit more work.
- Home for dinner. Salmon and veggies.

...and THEN it gets fun!

We are doing the jam session thing tonight. This is the night where we're gonna be jamming some AC/DC, and we're hoping that the dude with the bagpipes will show up for "It's A Long Way To The Top If You Wanna Rock'n'Roll". This will - bagpipes or not - be fun. I'm really looking forward to it.

For those of you who don't know the song, this is what I'm talking about:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's a fun song, and it's gonna be a blast to jam it!

Other than that, nothing too much going on there. I had the music class yesterday, and just a few kids were there. It was fun though, we were playing some old rock songs, and they were taught some of the essentials and the magic about playing the blues. :)

Yesterday was rough on 600 calories. I made it though, but it took all the determination I had to pull though. I wanted to go and eat SO BAD. I just wanted everything in sight, and it was a horrible feeling.

During the afternoon I wanted candy. Candy candy candy. I did manage to steer clear of it. I got myself some diet soda. It gives me the flavor or sweet, and it doesn't "cost" anything on the calories. For me it works. I'm glad I don't get the sugar cravings from it, as some others do. For me, it's a valuable tool for those days.

Wow. It's such a busy week.

The only evening I am really not doing anything is tomorrow Thursday.

Monday I was with Burnin' Live. Tuesday teaching. Jamsession tonight. Off tomorrow night. Friday, going to the surgeons and then out with Wife, and stay at a hotel until Saturday where we most likely will be out all day. Jamming with Burning' Live again Sunday. Wow. No wonder I feel tired sometimes. :)

I do like my new, more active lifestyle a lot. I like that I have things to do, and that I do good things for myself as much as I can. I feel so much more accomplished these days than I have in a long, long time. It's all good.

I hope to hear from some potential clients on my weight loss class. I need more people to sign up through this week. It's almost go-time, and I don't feel that we are enough on the team for it to be really good. I'm severely debating if I should move forward with it or not. I want to have at least 6-7 clients at a time. First of all, because I want them to be able to use each other for inspiration and help. Second, because I need to have some kind of income from it. Sure, I can do it for nothing, but a significant amount of time goes into this, and I would like to have at least a reasonable pay for it. It's quite some work, after all.

I'm gonna make a few calls, talk to some potential clients over the next days. Let's see what happens. If it doesn't go, then I have a few ideas up my sleeve, to get it going. It just won't be Monday.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Kitty cat being all snuggly.
- Weight down a pound. I want more though. I'm greedy. :)
- Morning Coffee!
- Gym this morning. I really missed it yesterday, after 6 consecutive days. They don't open early on Tuesday and Thursday, so I really couldn't do anything about it.
- A fun night tonight! Can't wait! :)

Have an amazing day, my friends! Life is good!

I know you've already decided a 'who buys the cake' system but if you want to add some fun you could do the 'king cake' system. (Appropriate) its a tradition in New Orleans - let me know if you need a link :-)

Bella, I googled it, though I only looked at pictures, not "the system". I would think it's a great idea, as I find the look of it absolutely appauling. :) They wouldn't get the reference though. I'm not known as kingkeld at work.

Ah, I see the idea. It's pretty fun. I'd be comfortably free of buying cake. :)

We all get greedy during this journey so I totally understand. But a pound is very good. I feel like I'm excited for you to complete this diet b/c it hurts me to see anyone eating so few calories. Good approach on the cake. Leave it alone for today. Use the ice cream buffet as a motivation tool. If you don't eat cake you can enjoy all the ice cream you want at the buffet, within reason. :)

Hey Keld. At my work they have access to online personal weight loss coaching. Maybe there is a way you can factor that in as well. You could have online group discussions as well. Just a way to mix it up and be a little more accessible. Good Luck :)

CAKE! Don't you get a PASS from buying since you don't eat it? Are all the people in the office fat or skinny? Here is a suggestion, get a Angel Food Cake and Strawberries HAHA, then they wouldn't want you to buy again, but that is fairly low cal comped to regular cake. I know you are a good sport/co worker though:-) SO, BOY CAN I RELATE to the "All I can do is do good" already doing what you need to be doing comment! I was there the last 1 1/2 weeks of last month. What will be will be, if I did more, I would risk illness, fatigue, injury, depravation feelings etc. You will get there, stick to your plan, like you planned, you will feel good when your done.

Yes - the 'cake' looks gross - it wast the 'whoever gets the baby buys the next cake' idea.
