Well back down again from TOM my personal trainer says if we do a hysterectomy that I will lose a ton of weight!
255.5 lb Lost so far: 61.5 lb.    Still to go: 55.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I wonder did he mean initially from the surgery removing the organs, or did he mean in general that the surgery will help your metabolism afterwards. Hmmm. Glad to hear the TOM weight is gone.

I wouldn't base something of that magnitude on what a personal trainer says. It is major surgery and something you should discuss with your doctor (he/she will be able to tell you more about he weight loss aspect). People have different experiences. In fact, many women gain weight at first because they can't move much and continue eating the same amount. Hormone replacement and medications can also cause fluid retention. Do some research and ask plenty of questions to your doctor. Good luck!

Definitely Suzi161 the reason we are discussing the surgery is problems with TOM. kboat562 He meant from not having TOM anymore and the weight gain from it.

You are doing so super!! Congrats~! And make sure that you do plenty of research before deciding what to do, although from what you have been saying, it sounds like it may be the only viable option left!
