While Amy was here my blood glucose be started to come down. The two days after she left I ate a more vegetarian diet with brown rice and veggies for dinner one night and brown rice pasta with pesto the second. Both caused a spike in blood sugar. This morning after eating chicken, baked beans and a salad it was back down to 99. I think I will need to follow the induction plan in order to really lower the glucose to get into ketosis.

My doc put me on a vegetarian diet for 6 months, hoping it would help my blood glucose. All it did was cause it to go to 225-250 and stay there... After 2 week on Induction my BG now averages 75-95, and I take HALF the diabetic meds that I used to.
This way of eating has mostly likely saved me from blindness and amputations...and probably even death.
