Debbie Cousins's Journal, 21 January 2020

Went over on my calories yesterday, but that's not one of the Challenge goals, and I had told myself at the beginning of getting back "on the wagon" that I would concentrate more on meeting my Fiber, Net Carbs, Fat % and Exercise goals and not pay attention to calories. Just wanted some mixed nuts, and there was room in my Net Carbs, so I went for it. Nothing bad.

Walked 1.4 miles in Walmart yesterday because it was very cold outside. Right now, it's 27 degrees F. Getting up to 37 today, though, and I should be able to walk in that, all bundled up.

Today is my first day cutting my Wellbutrin (Bupropion) in half. Doing that for two weeks, then eliminating it from my mental health meds routine. Goal is to be off ALL three of those meds by Cruise time. Daily filling my mind with positive and uplifting messages!

We all go over kcal from time to time and mixed nuts is a healthy option for sure. I recently cut Wellbutrin from my meds and feel better. I’m in trintellix now. It helps way more and I was able to cut out half my anxiety meds. Hoping cutting Wellbutrin from your routine helps as much as it did me!

@peeperjj, the next one to go (gradually, 20-10-5-0) will be the Trintellix, and then the Rexulti last.

I am so glad that you have such a good plan (with your doctor) for cutting back on and hopefully eliminating those meds. Nuts are good and I love them too, but have to strictly measure them due to potassium/phosphorus. You may find that keeping a couple of pre-measured baggies of nuts in the freezer helps when you need that little boost of protein. You are doing so awesome. XOXO :0)
