Diablo you don’t think it’s possible that one gains knowledge about nutrition and one learns about balance meals to successfully eat Intuitively?

I write it here cause I do care for your opinion hopefully you won’t ignore me 😅

I don't think it's possible for everyone. People who were morbidly obese for example will struggle their whole life. Even people who had gastric by pass can relapse. I think I could maybe do it but intuitive eating would still mean I don't know if I am in a deficit or surplus and with my goals, I need to know.

I agree diablo it’s not possible for everyone. 👍🏻

I personally like tracking everyday, it actually motivates me to hit my goals. It definitely holds me accountable for what I eat. It made me realize how much I was eating in the past. My cousin had gastric bypass surgery, and the first year he lost close to 100lbs, which he definitely needed to do, but while helping in the short term , it did nothing to teach him about mindful eating and calorie control. It was a bandaid, a crutch not the solution. Because eventually he started gaining weight again, instead of eating 3 huge, calorie filled meals a day, he went on to eventually eating 7 or 8 smaller (still high calorie) meals (due to he got full faster) a day. Before he new it, almost back to starting weight. I do feel it helps people, but it’s a tool not a cure!

Yep, there is one example from Kennyn. There is definitely no cure. The rent is due everyday. You can count or not, either way, you have to be mindful for long term success. You don't have to count calories, but calories always count.

Yes kennyn I feel counting is a tool. I see it as training wheels to be honest. Nothing wrong with using them we are still enjoying the ride 😎

In Diablos case I feel he needs to count to meet his goal cause if he don’t count he would not eat enough.... I don’t know I have that feeling

Training wheels for people who have an end goal to eat intuitively. Not training wheels for the rest of us who want to optimize their physique.

Yes I agree for you it is needed. like if I want to build muscle omg I would have to eat in a surplus and for that i need to count

Diablo 😘 always right! Definitely going to count and optimize my physique and get my protein. ❤️

Chris... I'm pretty sure I can measure cottage cheese without an issue. And again - how exciting for the people who want to do that...enjoy the food, don't measure, maybe weigh once in awhile to keep it in check. Awesome! But I think I can easily overeat. Especially this holiday season. Yikes! Even the little stuff adds up. I want to be my best. So after "maintenance" weight, I plan to get better and better. 💪🏼🔥🏃‍♀️
