Walked 3.2 quick miles last night instead of swimming. It was "brisk" and I think we all know I'm a wuss at this point when there's a cold wind. When I build my mansion at the beach, there will be a retractable roof to block the wind, amongst other things. Maybe a sauna that can double as a heated changing room. I kid, of course, this is my landing spot and it's just fine for what I need.

I went to my favorite grocery store yesterday and stocked up on bulk items. It feels good to get back to more normal eating. I didn't really go that far off course, but I neglected my spinach and kale. I was (am) terrible about drinking water when it's cold. I drink tea, but nowhere near 64 oz. I didn't realize until just now that the smart scale is saying that I need to drink more water, guess I'll get right on that starting now. Maybe a cup of tea between my two coffees is a good start.

In the wonderful world of your body breaks down as you age, I've been having migratory hip pain. That means it moves from one side to the other and to my lower back. There is good news though. It seems to be from sitting too much. I haven't sat down too much since I've been off work, and it's pretty much resolved itself. More evidence that office work kills. I guess I'm going to look into an adjustable desk riser, reconfigure my setup and make some "appointments" to get up and stretch during the day. I watched some Bob & Brad videos last night and I'll work some of their stretching into my days. One of the perks of working from home. I can take five minutes to stretch without having to close the door and have someone walk in on me on the floor doing "superman" or the like (true story).

Going to feed the dogs and jump in the pool now. Don't want to lose the momentum of the day.
