I had a heart catherization on Wednesday and he said my heart is struggling and to stay on a water pill everyday. That's the prognosis

Watch your sodium. If you are doing some form of Keto— well then I don’t know what to say about that.

Read Dr. Jason Fung “The Diabetes Code” or the “Obesity Code”. He’s helped many people with your health issues.

Dlewis, binkytexas, Pascoal777, JC, Kenna Morton, Thank you all for your thoughts and kind words and your prayers. This is definitely a hard road to walk. Even the rheumatologist doesn't have answers. I've listened to a lot of webinars and a lot of symposiums and the doctors all say that's something either in the environment or in the diet triggers the flare and it's different for everyone. The fun thing to do is the 31-day Elimination Diet. It's called the AIP Autoimmune Paleo. You eliminate all your Foods down to the basics for 30 days and then add one thing in at a time to see if you react. I can't say I've ever had the patience to do that but I can say that grains and dairy and sugar all are enemies of my body.

Anytime someone holds water the gold standard of treatment is to stop sodium, drink a lot of water, keep your feet up, and take the water pills as prescribed. I'm doing pretty good at all of that. I need to stay off the crackers. Too much salt. Thank you all for your suggestions. I appreciate them. We're All in This Together. I know I'm not the only one dealing with these issues Surprisingly my cardiologist said to eat brown rice. It will help absorb toxins and exceas water.

I'm glad you are seeing a doctor and doing what is suggested by the doctor. It's hard to have the patience to do the slow changes to diet...easier to do when your health and well-being are on the line. Please take care! :)

Skinny Minnie— it is not so much the food items like grains and carbs, etc that individually are the primary driver of inflammation, it is the amount and shear volume that many people eat that lead to obesity and all the the related maladies.

I like what your cardiologist said about brown rice. I don't find a difference in taste between white and brown therefore may as well get the brown rice. I love rice with stir fried vegetables mixed together.

kenna, mine disease came on from stress. I was always way underweight (that's why I was nicknamed). I have several autoimmune diseases and take prednisone for years.

kenna, grains, dairy, sugar, salt, processed foods, caffeine, bad fats and soy products are my inflammation triggers. I cannot do because I flare from them. ME
