graciepoo's Journal, 16 September 2008

Although my graph only shows a 2 lb loss, I have really lost 8.5 lbs on my 14 days of phase 1. I just didn't post my big ole fat gain(up to 201.5) when I started. So I am very pleased with my results from doing phase 1. I stuck to it 100% until last night. We went out for our anniversary, after my daughter's ball game, so by the time we got done at the ball field it was almost 9pm so we grabbed a sandwich from Subway. We then went to the movies, where my husband ate a huge bag of popcorn. I am proud to say I didn't partake. Didn't really even want it. So, the worst thing I did was eat a 6 in. sub on whole wheat. I am not going to feel bad about that, although I could have been down another pound had I not. But all in all, a successful week. I am temped to keep on with phase 1 but I am so tired of eggs for breakfast, I think I may eat a bowl of FiberOne cereal.

Update: just went on a brisk 40 minute walk. It is only in the mid to high 60's and boy does it feel great!!!!! Love it!! Hopefully this cooler weather will hang around for a few days. Decided against the cereal. Had a small bowl of cottage cheese instead. I am really wanting so badly to be under 190 so I am going to do my very best with diet and exercise this week to see if I can accomplish it by next week.

Way to ROCK it up girly!! I knew you could do it! :) Cottage cheese is a great protein for breakfast, too. Like I said in my journal... I love spaghetti for breakfast and over zucchini noodles, I can HAVE IT! :) lol You're doing GREAT!

8.5 pounds after going back on Phase 1 again is fantastic Gracie! Congrats are definitely in order. And, I believe I understood that you stuck to it 100% which not so many of us can claim to have done (I can't). Some of those Subway sandwiches are very reasonable in calories and can be quite tasty. I confess to having put down more than my share of the foot-long variety and, most of the time, have enjoyed them immensely. Happy Anniversary!

Thanks Info! Subway is a weakness. My 5 year old begs for them, and she loads hers up with veggies so it is hard not to cave. She chooses Subway over any other fast food if given the choice. So that is a good thing. And $5 footlongs, can't beat that!!

at least Subway is a MUCH healthier choice than McDonalds or Burger King or something (the "traditional" fast foods), it's a good thing your daughter doesn't beg for them all the time or you might be in trouble :) Congrats on the weight loss to date and good luck with the future!

Wow! Super job! I eat a Subway occasionally too. It's definitely a lot better choice than other fast foods. You have your game face on girl! Go get 'em!

When I wasn't following a specific diet, the Subway veggie patty sub was my standard post workout food.
