Goodmorning!

It's a great day today. I had an excellent night's sleep, from 9pm to 5.30am this morning. I feel super refreshed and ready to go!

Actually, I'm going already. I'm on the train, with wife, on out way to get the hospital a few towns over for a general checkup. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a nice day since we have the day off and we'll go enjoy ourselves after the doctor's visit.

I'll be back to work tomorrow, while wife has a few more days off

Naturally, having left town on the 8am train, I already went to the gym and did my workout. I didn't want to go without it.

I love the fact that I haven missed a single workout since the gym opened. I've had a couple of times where I have moved it to a more convenient time later that same day, but never missed. Actually, my goal is to go 3 times per week, but so far it's been 4 times! 4 is slowly becoming the norm. Not bad.

...

I weighed in again. I'm at 91.3 kilos, down 1100 grams since yesterday. The Indulgence Day gain is slowly coming off again, and pretty fast too.

I notice things happening to my body these days. I notice my skin getting looser. I notice me endurance getting better. I notice I'm getting stronger. I'm guessing this is because of my frequent gym visits, but of course also the better focus on RDI and food choices. It's been a while since I went over my RDI. It's a great feeling, knowing that I'm doing good.

I did great yesterday. I ended up a few hundred calories under RDI, was never hungry, had plenty of healthy snacks, like my smoothies and fresh fruit, and it really helps me to stay on track not giving in to the damn sugars. Simply staying off the sugars make the whole thing do much easier. I don't get the cravings I normally would, and I do NOT miss that

Now, why can't I convince myself if this when I DO get the candy cravings?!?

Anyways, I really see that the sugars are bad, I see how they screw up my weight loss journey, I see how they make me stress because I want more, more, more, and I see how they make me gain weight and not lose a thing for days. Remind me again what is so damn attractive about it? Lol.

..

I had THE BEST rehearsal session with Burnin' Live! yesterday. We had so much fun - as always - and the outcome wasTWO new songs! Of course, us still not having a singer makes the songs somewhat incomplete, but the foundation is there. They're our own unique style, not cover songs, and not us trying to sound like anyone else but us. I like that.

...

So today is a day or. This, as always, equals food challenges. For that reason I completely skipped breakfast. More calories to spend when ergo eat, so I'll be a little less restricted. This is pretty much in tune with my thoughts about maintenance I journaled about yesterday. I know I might end up with less than optimal food available, so I'll prepare to the best of my abilities.

If dinner is around the usual amount of calories, then I could havbiolog to 1000 calories at lunch, depending what kind of inbetween snacks I want. I'm considering buying a speed or two, and also stop by somewhere for a nice cup of calorie free coffee. :-)

We're considering trying out a little Greek restaurant that we've been eyeing for a while. I'm not sure exactly what they have there, but many of the Greek places here are pretty generous on their salads, and it might be a good solution. If they aren't, then I'll wing it and find the best thing available.

Or... We might end up going somewhere completely different. We'll see.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- the motivation to be hitting the gym at 7 am on a day off from work. No more being lazy for me, please.
- coffee on the train.
- spending the day with wife.
- determination to stay within RDI on a day like this. Not long ago I'd be pretty casual about it, I think. Today, I'm not.

Have an awesome week! Life is good!

LOL.... To tink this was the guy who had to be DRAGGED and BEATEN to do ANY kind of exercise. Now it's a "look forward to it" and " go 4 times a week" guy :-). Enjoy your day off with your DW.

Skinny, this might change at any moment. Lol. Actually, I'm glad I've made it to the gym for this long. It takes a few weeks to form a habit, and obsessing to go has really helped me form that habit AND seeing/feeling the benefit of it. It's a good place to be but it's been a long way getting there.

Nice job keeping up with the gym! I feel like once I get back into the routine of working out, it gets easy and routine and feels awesome. Glad you're feeling that too! Enjoy your day off!

What I would give for a 1000 calorie lunch. HA. Great on the gym, keep it up. Getting strong feels so good doesn't it! Have a great day! I'd like to figure out where the feeling comes in that "this might change at any moment" I have the SAME fear when I am doing well... I wish there was a way to not feel that...

YAY GYM TIME AND TIME OFF!!! Fingers x'ed for a good doc visit. Keld, what kind of exercises do you do at the gym, weights? some cardio? Curious to shake things up with me. I've been doing cardio, and just recently added back the weights. We found a GREAT rowing simulation machine and now both of us are rocking sore as hell shoulders. Looking forward to using it again! Happy Day! Make good choices!! LOL

Dani, I do circuit training at the gym. Two rounds, everything heavy enough that the last lift/push/pull at each machine is a REAL challenge. It's a non-stop "shaking things up", every 45 seconds. I like the fast pace, and the changeup. I like that it takes about 30 minutes all together, and I'm done - but with full benefits of everything, supposedly. :)

Lizzy, the 1000 cal lunch ended up at 775 cals, it was awesome Greek buffet (counted to the best of my abilities), and I have 180 cals left for the day. Since I'm done eating for today, that 180 cals will fit nicely into the "Keld probably counted something wrong at the Greek buffet!"-category. Regarding the doubt how long it'll last, it's partially serious, partially kidding. I have a feeling of being "known" around here for being super motivated, and then blow it, then back to super motivated, then blow it... so this time I am SUPER motivated, and I'm hoping to not blow it, but fear that it's lurking around the corner. lol. Let's NOT have that happen. Just keep going. :)

Kingland, EXACTLY, that is what happens to me, currently I am SUPER MOTIVATED ! WEEEE!!!!!! But i have the same feeling, when am i going to BLOW IT, and what triggers it, so far I can't figure out what triggers it, so when I do well, I am always very aware blowing it could be just around the corner, so, i get the joke too... I am like at as well. Congrads on the greek buffet! It is great you can eat at a buffet and still be aware of your calories. That is not something I can do. Some day maybe :-) cheers!

The trick to the buffet is to mentally prepare. Know what calories you can allow yourself to spend. Then bring your smartphone, and register EVERYTHING on your plate before you eat it. Register EVERYTHING as precise as you possibly can. This way you know what you're doing and you have the ability to take control. :)
