So I will record my jump up in weight. Still at my goal for the month of January so not stressing. I know exactly why the jump....the Hu Hot. It was good but I have now had my eyes opened to the sauces. Live and Learn

Noticed yesterday that someone...somewhere...has hit my truck. Yes, hit the rear quarter panel of the driver side. Probably trying to park or pull through a parking space. DH drives it right now so not likely it happened at his office. More likely it happened when we were out and about someone. They left no note or nothing. Wow...dirty bastards. So now we have to take the time from work to take it in and drop it. Then get the rental car (no way the Challenger can be driven right now in this weather) and pay $250.00 out of our pocket. At list it is a 'no fault incident' and lands under collision so the $250 deductible. Man my poor Black Betty (that is what I named my truck). She just doesn't get the best treatment unless she is with Mama.

Hope y'all have a great day. Time for me to get rid of the Hu Hot!!

Man ... broken windows and now a hit & run ~ have you ever considered public transportation? You amaze me how you get through it all and maintain your sense of humor. I had an 'up' this morning but as I hold my 'downs' to a 72 hour rule before recording them I'm doing the same with the 'up' as I'm fairly sure it was the sodium in the chicken soup yesterday. All in the day, right?

LOL..Bella you are right it is always something with this truck. The funny thing is I work from home!!!! DH has been driving my truck because of the weather here and his challenger is garaged. My poor Black Betty is probaly wondering WTH is happening to her...haha. DH was pretty sick about it...there was an incident with Betty back in September when we went out of state and his sister stayed at our house to house sit. He told her she could drive the truck one day and we know she drove it several days. When we came back I took betty to wash her (and I hand towel her dry) and noticed what looked like 'touch up' paint on the front bumper. Of course it could have been there all along, but since I hand dry her I find it hard to believe I would have missed it for the couple of months prior to that (but she was purchased from the dealer used). Anyway, at least the insurance will pay for it. I think DH feels a little responsible because he sometimes tends to park (as he says) caddy-whomp-us...that means not exactly straight....he is used to driving a Challenger and before that a Mustang and not a big Avalanche (in his defense) but he also knows that I do not like parking like that and I tend to 'fret' over it when he does. And all of this mumbling is all the voices in my head...he did say he felt bad about the parking and I said hey even if you were parked like that it does not give anyone the right to hit the truck and leave. People park like that a lot (especially this time of year with the ice all over the place)....if we did it we wouldn't think 'oh they deserved it' and leave...typically if we see someone parked like that we don't park next to them. Oh well...no used crying over spilt milk. I will get Betty a face lift and I know she will be happy for spring to come and come back to the love and care of Mama...haha.

Thank you Dorothy...you do know how good those sauces are!!! No sense in stressing over it. I think DH may start taking a little extra time parking Black Betty in the future...hahaha.

Always Welcome Jaime! It is so funny how you talk about your Black Betty.. I have my 2nd car and I call her the Green Hornet!! She is a green expedition.. anyway.. It makes me sooo mad, anytime I let someone drive her she comes back with some kind of knick, or scratch! I just don't understand the logic.. So I feel your anguish.. it gets to the point that I tell people - you better take care of that truck like it's yours when it's in your possession! lol lol They hate when I say it because they know if she comes back with another scratch - they will hear it or they just might not drive it anymore.. Yes the SAUCES - IF I didn't have any sense I could just drench everything on the plate with it! lol lol lol..

My car is a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible, named Baby! I LOVE her...she only has 98,000 miles on her. Hubby got her for me for my birthday in 1994 and she has been a wonderful little car. Sorry someone mistreated your Black Betty...they should be ashamed! As for the little uptick, some extra water to flush the system and you'll get rid of that pound toot suite! Have a great week.

OMG Jaime - did you ever lay a guilt trip on me.... you hand dry your baby? I am sitting here trying to remember when I last had mine WASHED period by something other than RAIN.... in all fairness, it's a creme colored paint and just doesn't show dirt but geeez I feel like a bad Mommy!

Sorry about your bad luck with Black Betty. Is the Challenger of the vintage variety or one of the newer ones?

I'm sure Black Betty will enjoy the face lift lol (Had to smile when reading your above comments). I know what you are saying about those darn sauces. My hubby loves to cook w/them and I have to be careful as to which ones to eat and not eat. Like you said, live and learn. I hate to say it, I must be the only person that doesn't name her vehicles lol. My kids have names for their's and my husband calls his "his girl or the girl" lol. I've never understood why vehicles are always "girls" lol. I guess I need to search out a manly man car lmao!

DK it is a 2008 SRT8 with the Hemi (of course) and has about 40,000 miles on it. Stef - Black Betty was my birthday present last year. DH knew if I was going to get rid of my Rendezvous (which he hated...not sure why) that I would only do so for an Avalanche...hahaha...I was prepared to keep the Rendezvous but he had other things in mind. Bella - hahaha...didn't mean to give you a guilt trip. Of course I do not hand dry her right now...too cold, but she does get her regular baths..hahaha. Dorothy - Exactly!!! I know what you mean. DH felt really bad about it. Mrs. H - this is the first vehicle that I have ever named! DH did not name his Challenger but I refer to it as The Beast....it sounds like one.
