You know what, the kids will be fine, you have raised them well. Of course knowing that doesn't make it any easier to take off for a bit. Are you vacationing?

You've done awesome so far... don't let a trip ruin all your hard work! :) Call the kids to check on them. But use this time to focus on you too. Make some "me" time while you're away. Sounds girly.... but can you plans something one evening? A massage? Does a world of good!

You're chart is in a nice downward trend, don't let a spike discourage you! :) Try not to worry about calories. Eat until you are full then eat again when you are hungry. Let your body dictate how much you eat. As for water, I carry around a large (24oz) plastic water bottle everywhere I go. I get it filled at a Starbucks or something when it is empty. I drink LOTS of water. LOL

I am taking my laptop..and just bought a droid phone as an award for getting under 300. I am leaving for a trip to see family, take care of family graves ( I am about the only one left who cares about such things) and go to a mini reunion of h.s. friends next weekend. My children have a difficult time with their mom.. and I have a hard time making them stay with her. But I need to leave them in the care of someone. Driving 10+ hours one way... I will try and check in while on the road..and do my best to log my food. I am allowing myself the lux of eating at a few places that were childhood favs...but plan on eating on program as much as I can without being a nusance. I did discover that dirty martinis have approx 1 carb..so i am set on my adult bev of choice. :) I am packing a cooler with lots of water ( i drink 3-4 quarts a day, and a few select diet choices... low carb bars and sunflower seeds and almonds.... so I should be good. But we shall see. I am in this for the long haul. :)

You are doing a fantastic job - at everything. Managing to be mum and dad to the kids, running a successful business AND taking care of your health - what a man, the true image of what it means to be a man. You should be proud of yourself, and I hope you are. It is not big headed in the least to say "WOW, look at what I've done; look how far I've come". I hope you enjoy your trip despite some of the stuff you have to do while away, even though you will be worrying about everything. IF only worrying burned off calories - LOL. Congratulations again - you are doing an amazing job.

I agree with sarahsmum - you are doing an amazing job! Good luck on your vacation. Sounds like you have a plan for sticking to Atkins as well as you can. If you make up your mind to stay on plan you will find a way to do that. I went off plan on my trip and I am still struggling with some cravings several weeks after returning to the plan. The slip definitely wasn't worth the cravings and the sick feelings it caused.
