Day 1 of a planned 2 days of eating

So I kept my carbs below 100.50 :) for 14 days. Turns out I had the worst weight loss performance in months. I think the culprit was that I went too high on the protein. When in diet mode, I need low carbs and protein. Diet mode starts Monday. This weekend I am off the diet...

If I have low carbs and protein I will automatically have low calories because calories are calculated from the macros (1 g of protein has 4 calories, 1 g of fat has 9 calories and 1 g of carbohydrate has 4 calories). If I only counted calories, I could have 'only 1200 calories' but consume 300 carbs! It won't matter that I have a huge 'calorie deficit' 300 carbs to my body will cause fat to be added.

There is no way my body can 'burn' all that glucose in a day.

Anyway, I changed my goal weight back to the usual 164lbs (my BMI weight).

Even though diets are suppose to help you lose weight and this one didn’t, I still think it’s a huge success! You controlled what you ate πŸ‘ That was a success and now you know that you can do it if you feel up to it πŸ˜ƒ

Try the 100 diet. Low carb and you count sugar Calories and it helps you keep the carbs in check.

i went down to 10 carbs a day for 8 days now and have lost just over 3kgs; starving for carbs though - 4 more days to go

@jentully1966, @Davejp70 - My problem is 'motivation'. I'm at that weight where the only reason to lose 'more weight' is that I want to see if I can get 'washboard abs'. Everytime I get to a point where I know I need to 'dig in' I lose interest and decide to have some pizza Haha

@jsmeemee - I think excess protein is worse for me than excess carbs. This weekend I am doing the 'excess carb' thing so next week will also tell for me :)

What's the plan when you get to your bmi weight? Same cycle?

@cb1006 - Basically eat pizza, gain weight, lift weights to hopefully get some positive use of the carbs, then lose weight again.
