Good morning, Friends!

Yesterday's weigh in was a tough cookie to swallow. It was heavy, very heavy.

Today is a LOT better! I'm down a whopping 1.9 kilos since yesterday. To help my buddy FullaBella with the conversion, this would equal just about 4 lbs. ;)

It's a general guideline that one kilo pretty much equals two lbs. Just about.

Anyways, yesterday went great. I stuck to my plan all the way, did my exercise, spent most of the day standing up at work, for that little EXTRA calorie burn, and just had no trouble at all doing this. Boy, it's a lot easier when motivation is there.

So, I woke up this morning at 1 AM. Or, is that "last night, at 1 AM"? Not sure. Anyways, my cold was demanding my attention, as my nose was all clogged up. I decided to get up because I had trouble breathing when lying down, and I know I snore like crazy when I'm like this. I kept Wife awake all of the night before, and if I want to stay amongst the living, I better not do that two nights in a row. :)

So, I decided to get up. It sucks not getting my sleep, but I know I'll just konk out early tonight.

On the good side, I did my workout DVD. I'm still taking it easy on it, just doing level one. It's not enough to really break a sweat, but it's not over doing it to the point where I'm aching for days. I gotta ease into this gently again. It worked for me last time. I did try a level two, and I was sore for days, and didn't go back to do more. Then I think it's better to do less, and more often.

After that, I felt that I wasn't done, so I got on the bike. I decided that a little 15 minute ride would go nicely with the workout.

Well, the 15 minutes ended up being a full hour! How nice!

I really don't mind the bike, once I get going. I just have a really hard time convincing myself to do it. I get bored easily. I'm glad I found some good entertainment, it makes time pass, and I feel that I can do it this way. I am very aware that I don't slow down because I am focusing on something other than the biking. I keep a keen eye on this. :)

So, today is the long day at work. This means more standing up, more calories burned. It also means cake day. Which means "skip cake" day for me. No thanks.

I'm curious if Wife pulls through on that. It's a lot harder on her, as she is the one baking the cakes. We'll see. She kinda got in trouble on her RDI yesterday, as the lunch she had packed turned out to be a lot more calories than expected. She did her best though, and we've all been there, and will be there again. No biggie. We compensated as much as possible with a super low cal dinner. And even better - since we're having dinner leftovers for lunch today, it will be low calorie again! :)

Other than that, not too much new happening. It's almost 4 am, and Wife will wake up in a minute. It's time I go shower and make breakfast for us.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Using my "sleepless" morning to exercise!
- Massive 1.9 kilo weight drop! I wish it was all fat! :)
- The outlook to a good day, where I will skip cake, but have some fruit!
- Morning coffee in less than 30 minutes!

Also, I wanted to point you guys to this forum posting, I put up yesterday. I'd love to hear your stories! This is such a contageous topic, and I just love the whole attitude about it. :)

So go out there, and be FRICKIN' NICE to someone! Life is good! Make it so! :)

I like the thread you started. Way to go on using your sleepless time well, but I hope you can get some sleep tomorrow instead! Good luck on cake-less day. :)

Sorry your not feeling well Keld, get well soon! I hate those sleepless nights. Your Thursdays has cake, mine has Mongolian BBQ which I will eat. It is really hard to pass up good food here when we can get it cheap. Maybe next year I can skip it, lol. Anyway, have a great day pal and enjoy that coffee!

Great Keld. Figured you'd see a quick drop when you got back to it. I don't know how I caught your cold clear over from Denmark but I did! Kudos to you for exercising. I'm not feeling quite well enough for that yet. Have an awesome day!

JP - when we go out to eat, I PREFER Mongolian BBQ. I find it so much easier to deal with, as you can choose your food 100%. You can even check with the cook what sauces are oil based and which are water based, to make wise decisions. I have often gone for one of these things, eaten to the point where I had to be rolled out of the restaurant, and spent less than 500 calories. :) Enjoy the Mongolian BBQ, man. :)

Carol, I hope you didn't get MY cold, because it is truly a fierce one. Please steal it from someone else, who has the kiddy version. lol. Hope you feel better.

Thanks Keld, I do try, but the boys out back cooking seem to have heavy oil days, and light oil days. Its a crap shoot! I am starving now after a frustrating drive down one ways streets in shia villages.

Get in the kitchen, JP. Slap them over the hands when they try to add oil! Keep doing it until they learn! lol.

Cake was never a big problem for me. Ice cream. That's the killer. That and chocolate. MMMMM, put those hands together... OK, MUST STOP!! Great job avoiding the cake! When you're feeling the tug of the sweets, just stop and ask yourself "Is this particular indulgence worth the CALORIES?" That helped me soooo much on other diet plans! Cake almost never is. Even if it's wifey's. Y'all have made me drool from 2k miles away. Keep it up, buddy!! As ever, You're the Inspiration, Mr. Cetera!

Thank you for the conversion Keld and congratulations on the 67 AVDP ounce loss!

BTW, Keld. I asked my trainer about your circuit training. He said it was fine but that you'd lose a lot of weight that way. He said it with disdain, as though he wasn't sure why one would want to lose a lot of weight. LOL. Good job on the workouts and the weightloss.

I am not going to feel sorry for you, for fighting off a cold..... However I will congratulate you for getting back into exercise - and your weight loss of course :-)

Hey Keld, great to catch up after way too long away (and my waistline tells that tale better than any words)! I am getting back into the swing of things and taking the exercise slowly...can't ache when working...but I am breaking a sweat. I just can't go it alone, I have learned my lesson and here to stay XX
