149 today-a small gain (GD!) Ach!! I felt sure I'd have a loss today. I've been looking thinner around the middle and feeling lighter all week. Yesterday I started SB Phase 1 and was amazed at how little I ate...Crap crap crap!
149.0 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 19.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Boy do I know what you mean. It's amazing how much alike we seem to be with this weight loss journey. I know the best thing is that we never give up on it. My doc also warned me about how bad yo-yo-ing can be... so I get real nervous every time I see a gain. You have been moving along steady though. I know its frustrating when we do everything right, expect a loss and it doesn't show up. I am going to TRY to zig-zag some of my calories this week and see if it makes a difference. The problem for me in zig-zagging is I don't seem to know how to get those LOW calorie days. I can keep them under control and its easy to have a high calorie day, but a low day seems darn difficult for me. I wouldn't worry about your gain, I am expecting both of us to show up with a decent loss next weigh in. Must have been something in the air *hehehehe*

How much does air weigh?? It is funny and reassuring that we seem to be on the same path. I do not know anyone else wih the same experience. My friends are either skinny or not and oblivious.... I know exactly what you mean re: zig zagging. I started doing it and had a small loss and then every day became a "high" cal day (1100-1400 cals) and my low days (800-1000) became very very scarce. I know for me I can't lose on avg 1200 cals per day, so I am trying to get back to all low cal days all the time and feeling quite deprived as a result. I think SB will get my cals lower-yesterday was lowest day I've had in months and today is shaping up too. I won't give up-so neither can you and vice-versa!!!

oh we can't ever give up. If I gave up I my weight would shoot up again and I would be back on blood pressure and cholesteral meds. We don't want anything back that we have already lost, it would be unthinkable to have worked this hard and backslide now. I know I can get lower calories days when I include more veggies in my day and cut back just a little on the amount of protein I eat per day. I think most Americans eat too much protein per day, I could certainly stand to cut back a little on it Good luck! I am sure we will have a nice "come back" with weight loss this week! Im counting on it.
