Well I have been gaining and gaining for the past few days. So I figured I'd go ahead and log the weight gain so I could keep track if I'm still gaining or losing. I decided to do a fast day yesterday and dropped 2 pounds of the gained weight so I'm hoping that fasting restarted my losses. I bought some ketone sticks Sunday. I had been getting either no or trace readings. This morning I'm up one more step to small. I've used the ketone strips before and know that I have registered at least a Moderate before. As long as I'm showing at least small amounts then I know that I'm headed back in the right direction.

I am deep cleaning the house today so I should be getting more exercise than normal and I have gone grocery shopping this morning so I will be in the kitchen cooking some meals for the week to make sure I can stay on plan. More meat and veggies!

I just hope I can keep things from getting to out of control the next 3 weeks or so. With all of the Christmas celebrations and the added travelling etc.


Oh, I forgot..I was supposed to tell all about my trip and I never did. So here it goes. I had three friends who drove down from various locations (Somerset, KY, Horse Cave,KY, and Fayetteville, TN--I live in Monteagle,TN--google them to see the furthest drove 6.5 hrs to get to Atlanta) to meet me and take a day trip to Atlanta. We had a great time just spending the day together. One lady was getting some piercings so she had an appointment. Otherwise the day was free to do whatever we decided. We spent hours upon hours stopping at different malls and shopping for Christmas. Then we went to lunch and met up with a group of friends that we knew that live in the area. It was great for everyone to be able to see each other again after 2 years. Then we went to the appointment and continued shopping. It was a very long day but was well worth the time investment. However, it is really hard to stay on diet when everyone is wanting to eat either Chinese food or Pasta. I did manage to get Chicken and Vegetables and leave off the rice and pasta at both meals. Water to drink instead of my regular tea or adult beverage that everyone else was having.
237.4 lb Lost so far: 17.6 lb.    Still to go: 107.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Glad to hear that you had a great time with your friends on your trip.. I commend you you on sticking to the plan as much as you could while on the road and socializing... Hang in there girlie! I believe it's been hard for some of us to stick to the plan because of the time of the year, holidays, everyday life, kids, school, and many other stressors in our life.. Rachel you have been doing very well so please don't get down on yourself. Stick to your plan and know that we are here for you. :) Take it One day at a time!

Rachel it sounds like you had such a fun time with your friends. I am very impressed with your will power to not give in to the pasta and Chinese...you go girl!!!!!!!!!!! You are in ketosis (even if slight) and keep in mind that when you drink a lot of water sometimes that reading can be 'watered down'. So don't sell yourself short. Just hang in there; you are doing everything that you are supposed to and I am sure you will see the results of it. Great job on the 2# loss after the fasting day. I think I may do a day tomorrow. Just got to get my body back in a semi normal state. We are all here for you and supporting you, and together we can all meet our goals.
