Still on vacation...

I hit the carbs hard last night and again this morning. I did a hard weightlifting workout yesterday and it looks like my weight has held steady.

After my huge breakfast of croissants and french toast I decided to do an unscheduled weightlifting workout and hit my highest lifts ever (230lbs squats and 240lbs deadlifts).

So this is good, right? For me, umm no...

1) I am **FAT** Seriously I am 20 pounds heavier than I should be. I can't somehow 'spin it' that I somehow have 20 pounds of muscle to somehow factor into this extra weight. I have at most 5 pounds of 'extra muscle' at-the-most.

2) I don't need anymore muscle. Yeah I know this is controversial thing to say, but, it is how I feel. I can put 230lbs on my back and squat 10 times... how much stronger does a computer programmer need to get? Its 'pure Ego' for me to get any stronger. To risk getting fatter is just plain stupid for me.

So yeah, vacation ends on Sunday morning. I plan to do *EPIC* amounts of fasting and cardio. I *may* try to make it to the gym once or twice a week, but I could careless if I ever hit the weightlifting level I hit today.

I gotta drop this fat. For me, body fat percentage is *all* that matters.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Same weight as yesterday, that is a good thing. 😊

Inspired by your mindset. Lately I've questioned the stress of breaking down the muscles with weights during fat loss. Find it bring instability that take focus away from the challenge of trimming off body fat. Reflecting on this topic today, and have yet to set up strategy. Might end up with one lifting day a week.

Sarcopenia is what you need to avoid 😉

the focus should be to keep as much lean mass as possible Diddlee. you do that via lifting weights much more often than once a week and a high protein diet.

Diablo360x Yes, I can agree with that. Currently dealing with a high-stress week, and are confined in a chill focused mind. This too shall pass. 😜
